Tacomahunter
BTFI and Tacomahunter have been caching together in Idaho for 3 years. Finally we decided that we should have a coin... What do you all think? Pictured is both sides of the coin. Size is 2"wide by 1 1/4" high. We talked about trackability and decided against it. We may do one in the coming years that is trackable. +AtlantaGal
I'd buy or trade for one. Please add me to your list! If they're numbered, is there any way I could get #7? Wait till Helene sees this coin, there's a moose on it! Quote Link to comment

Tacomahunter
We announced our new coin and have received some emails about them being trackable. Does this really matter to everyone and if so would people be willing to pay $9.00 for the coin shipped as apposed to $8.00? I would eat the .50. Thanks for your feedback! +JMBella
I'd be willing to pay an extra buck. Quote Link to comment

Keystone
Hi, That's a cool coin design! And you're welcome to talk about the design, and about trading for this coin. But please see the Geocoin Forum Guidelines, which say that non-trackable geocoins cannot be advertised for *sale* here in the forums. I've edited the price and quantity information out of the original post. Anyone wishing to contact the OP about this coin is of course free to do so privately. Please don't use this as an "ordering" thread. Thanks. Quote Link to comment
+crake
I too had this same question and realized that the demand for trackable far exceeded the demand for non-trackable. I probably doubled my orders when I made my coin trackable. The orders grew another 20% when I added a custom icon. Quote Link to comment
+Mauison
That's one cool looking coin! I'd be up for a trade for my Mauison geocoin. Quote Link to comment
+9Key
I agree with crake on this, but I don't think it tracking matters for a strickly personal coin. How's this for an overgeneralization? >> non geo-referenced coin = non-trackable other = trackable Me and my 50 cent word will now go to bed. 0wed Quote Link to comment
+FlyinV
Cool design! <Content removed by moderator> Per Keystone's post: "Please don't use this as an "ordering" thread. Thanks." Edited January 22, 2006 by Flying Spaghetti Monster Quote Link to comment
gridlox
You've got a really nice design and an odd shaped coin (Not round) which makes it desirable to begin with. Adding tracking is even going to increase interest more and make for looser wallets!! I already want a couple, but add tracking and I DEFINATELY in for 2 or maybe even 4 (if I'm not stretched too thin at the time of release.) D-man Quote Link to comment
+WWC-World's Worst Cacher
trackable is almost always better. Don't know you you are using to make your coins, but you might talk with oakcoins as a way of reducing cost and helping to cover the 1.5 Quote Link to comment

Dancingfool
Cool design, I would be interested in trading for my personal coin Tracking is nice and would allow you to post sales info here but it is not that important to me Quote Link to comment
Rupert2
They look great. I could care less about tracking (just adds $1.50 to the cost that I will get no use out of). Quote Link to comment
+GBOTS
Great coin Tracking would just enrich TPTB, so I would say NO! Besides you can only "rent" the numbers, never really own them. Quote Link to comment
ParentsofSAM
I like trackable coins ours is. But it is good either way. But you do have to keep in mind since you do want to sell your coins you can only do it here if you cough up the $1.50. Quote Link to comment
+ZackJones
Being a fellow Tacoma owner (01 PreRunner double cab) I would be interested in one. Trackable would be nice addition as well. Quote Link to comment

+JMBella
I usually stick to trackable coins but once in a while a design comes out that I must have. This is one of them. Nice job. I'll email you for info since I don't want to piss off the geocoin gods. Quote Link to comment
+GoBolts!
I as for me and most of our club...it is GC-trackable only. However comma your coin is cool. Quote Link to comment

+crake
Btw, how do you plan on doing the red/white/blue transition? As far as I know that is not possible with enamel fills. It is possible with silk screening however, but you'll get "dots" (like a newspaper). Quote Link to comment
Tacomahunter
The company that is producing the coin says it will look good. Not sure how, just sure.. Quote Link to comment
+tokencollector
To add another $.02 to the discussion - I prefer geocoins with tracking (and unique icons) -mostly because when I buy geocoins I intend to release them as TBs (I like the TB portion of the game). I intend to hold onto relatively few of the geocoins that I purchase (I'll keep an example of a really cool one or ones that have special meaning to me). Without tracking, I doubt that a geocoin would make it very far in the wild, and I'd have no idea of how far it got before dissapearing. That may may make me a relatively unusual purchaser of geocoins. To those who expect that the geocoins will dissapear rapidly in the wild, I agree that that it is a risk. However, my son picked up a USA geocoin yesterday that has been moving around for 2 years and has 3 pages of logs. They can last a while too. Quote Link to comment
+Ladycacher
I would love to trade since trading a non trackable is ok and trading is not an "order". Quote Link to comment
+graylling
I like it. Count me in for a couple via trade or purchase. Quote Link to comment

I do not ever remember signing a rental agreement for any of the coins I have purchased... If this particular coin ends up being trackable will there be a tracking number rental agreement? +Eartha
Reading this threat It makes me laughing, because of the NEW Geo-Threat-Police.Real cool. Do it more and you will loose a lot of very confident coin collectors. best regards Marc It's not a threat, it's a thread, and we are not police, we are moderators, thank you. We moderate threads, we report threats. We're also not NEW. I've been here longer than the geocoin forums have been here. There shouldn't be any threatening in here, no matter what the topic is. Threats can get you banned. Threads will get you information, laughs, angst, and more! So, is the coin going to be trackable or not? If so, you can order, if not then this is still not an ordering thread so please don't post orders. Any ordering communication can be done with the tools provided. Quote Link to comment
Tacomahunter
Well... we have reconsidered and it looks as if this coin WILL be trackable on geocaching.com. When we get the final information as to when the coin will be available we will be posting here and you can order them via a pay website. Thanks for all your input and we are excited about the coin!!! Quote Link to comment
allinfun
Hey, let me be the first to say I'd like to purchase 3 of those GC trackable coins!! Cool design... Allinfun Quote Link to comment
+IceCreamMan
nice coin. I've decided I'm not going to purchase non-trackable coins anymore (except organization coins). Although I will continue to trade for non-trackable personal coins that weren't sold. So if you're selling them, I suggest spending the extra buck and a half. Quote Link to comment
