Roamingbull Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 I know that there is not a way to check up the status of a Jeep TB order. So I thought I would try to see if anyone else may have received one, or if anyone knew if they were shipping them yet. I would pretty much get a clue then. I know I sent my application out on the first day they were posted and have not gotten one to date. Still keeping the fingers crossed. anyone? Quote
ZSandmann Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 They were likely mailed end of last week or early this week. don't start looking till end of this week or early next. Also, since I think TB's will be activated by owners and not Jeep this year, all on Aug. 1st, you can't see who has them just yet. There are a bunch out there from Geobash. Z Quote
GeoBlank Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Someone said they were running an activation script on the 1st so they will just appear in the system on that day. I think we then "grab" the ones that we get in the mail. I could be wrong of course but that is how it sounded. Giddyup! Quote
ZSandmann Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Works for me! Hope I have one coming my way. Quote
Roamingbull Posted July 26, 2006 Author Posted July 26, 2006 Thanks for the reply(s) I too hope I have one, that would be awsome. Great reason to put out a new cache with a cool reward for a FTF. Good luck to you all too. RB Quote
Vegas Gamblers Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 I sent emailed Groundspeak last week and got a reply today that there is still time and quantity available. I just mailed my order two days ago Quote

pdxmarathonman Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Mine was handed to me at an event (after I did the required paperwork). I was able to officially "grab" it tonight Quote
GeoBlank Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 Got mine in themail last night and I could "grab it" via the web... They have a new owner this year so we did not see them active as soon as we thought we should have Quote

pdxmarathonman Posted July 28, 2006 Posted July 28, 2006 (edited) Not that it really matters, but... I "grabbed" mine last night. At the time it was named "Scout Mountain (ID)", this afternoon the name is "Long Canyon Mountains (NM)". Kinda weird! Scout Mountain still exists as a name, just not the one I have. Here is the text for Scout Mountain: This Green Jeep Travel Bug is named in honor of Scout Mountain. Scout Mountain is located in Idaho, USA and sits 8,700 feet above sea level. Here is the text for Long Canyon Mountains: This Green Jeep Travel Bug is named in honor of Long Canyon Mountains. Long Canyon Mountains is located in New Mexico, USA and sits 8,700 feet above sea level. I don't know anything about these two mountains, but it is amazing that they are the same height Edited July 28, 2006 by pdxmarathonman Quote

jimear1e Posted August 3, 2006 Posted August 3, 2006 Sent off for one about a week ago and did not figure I'd get one since I waited so late. Checked the mail and there it was. Now, where should I drop it? Decisions, decisions... Quote

And now you can't request one, the site says they have enough request. Edited August 4, 2006 by Cruiserdude Quote
