Team GPSaxophone Posted August 3, 2005 Author Posted August 3, 2005 Well, my plans have changed considerably since I started this thread. Here's my current map: Quote
OurWoods Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 (edited) For canada just Ontario and Quebec For USA 18 States + DC Hopefully I will add two more states before the years out and the rest of new england next spring. Maybe even the rest east of the Mississippi next summer.. Good to dream. ;-) Edited August 3, 2005 by OurWoods Quote
Fergus Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 Six states, no map. Maryland Virginia West Virginia Pennsylvania Texas Florida We can now add New Jersey to my list. Quote
vulture19 Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 (edited) Looks like 12 states (2 high points). Not bad if you consider I've got a total of 61 caches...... Edited August 3, 2005 by vulture19 Quote
ohgrl Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 no map cuz I am too lazy but: Michigan - Lower Pennisula Ohio Indiana Illinois Quote
treasure_hunter Posted August 3, 2005 Posted August 3, 2005 (edited) I guess I don't like Kentucky??? Hope to complete the east of the Mississippi sweep this year since we have a New England trip planned. Hmmm......... Edited August 3, 2005 by treasure_hunter Quote
DavidMac Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 Thought I'd give this topic a bump. Here's the map I use on my profile page. Orange states are ones I've visited, but not cached. Eight to go! yellowish states are ones I first cached in 2002, green are '03, turquoise are '04, and blue are ones I've first cached this year. Quote
omegabane Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 No need for a map for me... California only so far. But I just started and haven't even left the state since I started. I'll be adding Utah to the list next week, though! Quote
Snoogans Posted August 20, 2005 Posted August 20, 2005 13 since May 26 of this year. I cached coast to coast in 2 trips. CA, NV, AZ, NM, CO, KS, OK, TX, LA, MS, AL, FL, GA. Quote
Metaphor Posted August 21, 2005 Posted August 21, 2005 9 states in the US (SC,NC,VA,MD,DE,PA,NY,IL,NJ) and 5 European countries (UK,DE,BE,CZ,AU)... Quote
Yellow Jacket Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Ok 40 states and just 10 to go. Quote
altosaxplayer Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 (edited) Got to get in on this mapping action. Edited November 23, 2005 by altosaxplayer Quote
Jeep_Dog Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 Only 3 and soon some in the Middle East. Lucky me. What I find more important than the numbers is that each state I have cached in I received a very warm welcome. For the two "out of state" states, I received very nice "welcome to our area" notes from cache owners. So, I have found consistancy in geocaching as far as geocachers being friendly folks goes. I find this very interesting to note. Quote
vulture19 Posted November 23, 2005 Posted November 23, 2005 (edited) Not too bad for less than 100 finds (75?). I think that's 16 states +DC Edited November 23, 2005 by vulture19 Quote
Harry Dolphin Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 I don't like airplanes, and airplanes don't like me. So I don't fly. I've cached in nine states and D of C. New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Delaware, Maryland and West Virginia. There are enough caches in those states to keep me going for quite a while, thank you. Maybe, I'll work on Connecticut and Maine next year. Quote
Led Zeppole Posted November 24, 2005 Posted November 24, 2005 In order, they are: New Jersey (my home state), Delaware, Texas, Pennsylvania, Virginia, District of Columbia and Maryland. Like Harry said, Jersey alone has enough caches to keep someone quite busy. Heck, Wharton State Forest by itself is enough to keep anyone occupied for a long time! Quote
baby jojo's playpen Posted July 16, 2006 Posted July 16, 2006 We just started caching about 2 months ago, but hit 4 states so far this summer. But here's my question... where do I paste the html code on my profile page to get the map to show up? I'm usually a little swifter than this, but the world66 site says that to put the map I created on my page I have to paste the html code. I look at the profile page and don't see anywhere to paste it. Help! Quote
CraigInCT Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 Last year i did all 50: so that there is no red vs blue bs, I painted the states redwhitenblue; Quote

mtn-man Posted July 26, 2006 Posted July 26, 2006 So far, 31. My map has changed a little bit since that post. It is 46 now. This map is the one I update. It might change since it is linked off of my personal site. All I have to do is upload a new version. Quote

Maybe, I'll work on Connecticut and Maine next year. Took a trip to Maine to visit my sister, Circles. Added three states to my list: Connecticut, Rhode Island and Maine. (Okay, so that was the only reason we stopped off in Rhode Island. ) So make that 12 states, plus the D of C. Enjoyed Goddard Memorial State Park in Rhode Island, and Odiorne State Park in New Hampshire. And enjoyed the rest stop caches on the Mass Pike. Now, who's going to contriubte for the dolphin's First Class Plane Ticket to Seattle for next year??? Quote
Tsmola Posted July 27, 2006 Posted July 27, 2006 (edited) luckily I just got back from a trip and it's still fresh in my mind so I can remember, I have cached in: Michigan, Indiana, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, West Virginia and The District of Columbia I visited plenty of other states before I started caching and on this most recent trip passed through 2 others on the way that I did not cache in. I don't keep a map because I honestly don't care what states others have cached in and if someone is really that nosy about where I've been they can just look at my finds list. +BlueDeuce Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 (edited) how do we add the map to the profile page? can someone just answer this question already?! Actually reading through past notes it appears you have already been given your answer. Let me try again. Well, you don't have any logged caches so I couldn't build one around your finds. goto http://douweosinga.com/projects/visitedstates Select the states you want included. Click 'GO' Where it says Put this map on your website/blog by pasting the following html code: you'll see something like this <img src="http://www.world66.com/myworld66/visitedStates/statemap?visited=IA"><br/> <a href="http://douweosinga.com/projects/visitedstates">create your own visited states map</a> Select all that information and copy it. Go to your profile page and select 'Edit My Profile' Scroll down near the bottom and make sure that the "My profile details are written in HTML format" is checked. paste the info into a section like 'Latest News' oh yes, you'll need to enter your password and then select 'Update account' Edited August 5, 2006 by BlueDeuce Quote
HaLiJuSaPa Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Ironically, our first 2 caches were far from home when we were visiting relatives in North Carolina. After that all of them were in our home state of New York until recently (10-11 months later) when we finally hit some in Pennsylvania and hit a couple in nearby New Jersey and Connecticut. Quote
Eagles61 Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 Took a trip to FL last month and took the long way home to Louisville, just to add Alabama, Mississippi and Arkansa. Quote
RIclimber Posted August 5, 2006 Posted August 5, 2006 I added IDAHO, MINNESOTA, and INDIANA last month. Quote

IV_Warrior Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 Well, mine has changed a little since my first post in this thread. Arizona stands out as being new from the old map. It's hard to see, but I've also filled in the little white dot that was on the east coast aka Washington DC. Quote
SG-MIN Posted August 6, 2006 Posted August 6, 2006 (edited) Some of those cache maps are brutal for use color-blind people. It makes eating Jelly Bellies substantially harder as well. Edited August 6, 2006 by SG-MIN Quote
NatureGuy360 Posted August 7, 2006 Posted August 7, 2006 One. Impressive huh? That will change next month when I go on vacation though. Florida Geocachers here I come! Quote
