just down the road from one of my caches are about 30 or so signs saying

"tresspassing by written permission only"

i found the signs funny since they were "homemade signs" they were spaced about 15-20' apart all down the one side of the road

It's not really a strange sign, but certainly in a strange place. There was kind of a road, but certainly no traffic.

What indicates to you that the photo is not genuine? I see the compression artifacts, but I believe they were the result of the red circle. Am I missing something?

I'm not going to go digging around to Markwell it, but I remember when that picture was posted some months ago. IIRC, the person who posted it admitted that it had been altered.

In Beaverton, Oregon, there is a sign located right next to a high school that warns of "Speed Humps Ahead".

Well at least it's nice of them to warn the young women coming in at the freshman level even before they set foot in the place! icon_wink.gif

"What indicates to you that the photo is not genuine?"

The Kerning/Font seems to be slightly off. It's odd that the word "GEOCACHING" is wider than every other 10 (and some 11)

I found a couple of interesting signs during some of my geocaching trips in Toronto.

This one is a common one in the city parks. It tends to make the tourists do a bit of a double take.

The second picture is one I saw on a glass walled ticket booth in the middle of a public square...

Look to the bottom right of the red circle. Those aren't "compression artifacts," those are where someone tried to "clone" from an area where the color saturation didn't quite match the underlying color. It's TOUGH to get an exact match on a solid color, especially when there's a shadow interfering.

Maybe it was added later.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I--

I put the Jeep in 4-wheel low and left the roads behind!

The Green River Killer has been caught. It's safe to go in the park again! Even hookers need to enjoy the outdoors sometimes. No longer do they have to avoid this park. Run free, you hoes!
