Little Quest

Don't know what's happening with the BIG QUEST, it seems to have faded, if not, I apologise, however I am looking for cache hiders for the ENGLAND-wide LITTLE QUEST.

 

In order to find the final LITTLE QUEST cache, you would need to find every LITTLE QUEST cache, one per county, which would contain a number. Add the numbers together to get the co-ords for the final. Simple. Why "Little Quest"? Well, the final will be a micro. No messing with big prizes, coins, cheating, etc etc, just a plain simple cache hunt and the pride of the find.

 

The county list is based on the ceremonial counties of mainland England provided on Wikipedia. The list below is non-negotiable or else it never WILL get off the ground. So, we need a cache hider for each of the following :

 

* Bedfordshire, including Luton

* Berkshire

* Bristol

* Buckinghamshire, including Milton Keynes

* Cambridgeshire, including Peterborough

* Cheshire, including Halton and Warrington

* City of London

* Cornwall

* Cumbria

* Derbyshire, including Derby

* Devon, including Plymouth and Torbay

* Dorset, including Bournemouth and Poole

* County Durham, including Darlington, Hartlepool, and Stockton-on-Tees north of the River Tees

* East Riding of Yorkshire, including Kingston-upon-Hull

* East Sussex, including Brighton and Hove

* Essex, including Southend-on-Sea and Thurrock

* Gloucestershire, including South Gloucestershire

* Greater London, excluding the City of London

* Greater Manchester

* Hampshire, including Southampton and Portsmouth

* Herefordshire

* Hertfordshire

* Kent, including Medway

* Lancashire, including Blackburn with Darwen, and Blackpool

* Leicestershire, including Leicester

* Lincolnshire, including North Lincolnshire, and North East Lincolnshire

* Merseyside

* Norfolk

* North Yorkshire, including York, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland, and Stockton-on-Tees south of the River Tees

If you want to hide a cache in a county for the LITTLE QUEST, here goes :

 

The cache must be a Trad, at least Small in size(City of London excepted).

Difficulty / Terrain is UP TO YOU, however no more than 1 mile from the nearest access road please.

You will be provided with HTML code for the introduction to your cache page ("Short Description").

The cache name must start LQ:LANCS or whatever county-cache you are hiding.

 

I will post to this thread as counties get "claimed". Once every county is claimed, I'll email you the number to pop on your cache log book, and I'll give you the HTML code to start off your page. Your cache can be hidden the next day. There's no reason why all caches can't be up, say, in the next fortnight.

It is holiday season, so probably worth leaving it another week for any folks that are away currently to have the opportunity to volunteer their services... However, if you get stuck, I'm more than happy to do Lincolnshire as well as Rutland - but I do think it must be prefered to have as many cachers as possible covering these caches to spread them out and the responsibility/enjoyment of taking part?
