  1. Log DNF's and mark caches as ignored after finding works for many or watchlist found cachs so watchlist = find count done by many on this site helps keep PQ's in order
  2. For the record i agree with HH i "thought" hidden treasure would be recognised as meaning anything goes silly me ! Anyway easy winner for the Monarch over to you Nick & Ali
  3. Bump !! hidden treasure means any geo cache all arere hidden treasure its an old term for geocaching
  4. Visit last months winner here March's photo of the month Many thanks go to Cachabit for organising the Marh Competition. Never thought id actually win one !! Simple theme for the month Hidden Treasure Looking forward to seeing your imaginative photo's - Please submit by 30th April 2012 - Good Luck - Have Fun markandlynn Quoting previous rules and tips for loading photo's The rules are the same as those used in previous months..... 1) The photo must be cache related and to do with a specific UK cache (any type including events), caching series or caching trip - please include a link to the cache or the GC.... code so we can see where the picture relates to. 2) Max two photos per caching team or cacher. (Maybe 3 if you really have an extra pic that's great!) 3) A new thread is started each month, with the OP stating these rules. 4) The winner each month is decided by the winner from the previous month - the new winner starting the thread for the subsequent month. They may set a theme if they wish. 5) Photos should be recent. Higher credit will be given to photos taken in the current month. 6) The competition runs from the 1st of the month, until a date specified in the OP by the previous months winner. This should give sufficient time for the winner (or other person if necessary) to start the new thread. If you haven't already uploaded a photo, a good tip might be to upload it to one of your log entries (it can just be 'post a note'). Then, view your log (not the cache page) click & display the photo, then copy the URL to provide a link. If it's not actually relevant to the cache you've used, delete the note and the photo - the URL will still work. On this forum, add a reply and click the small green tree icon above the text box and paste in your URL.
  5. There are very valid reasons why being able to search for archived caches would be a good idea but this isn't one of them. If all caches and/or logs were clearly labeled with their GC code it would be a lot simpler to identify dead caches Mark Archived cache search. Its never coming back so we can just try to help when the requests get posted on a forum, if it was available im sure the ninja's would of used it for thier mystery cache find
  6. I just happen to have those in my GSAK database so just lucky, anything archived in the last 2 years wont be in my offline database.

  8. Took us 2 1/2 hours to drive there so not close to us either, and yes a brilliant cache.
  9. We didnt find this cache at this location or here or here
  10. As the original setter of the cache pretty in pink has never ever ever been an ALR read the text a few people have declined. Please be pretty and smile. Full instructions are available elsewhere. Remember this is just for fun. Sign the log book please. And try to follow the instructions. Just like Krystal on her 10th birthday Kelly asked for her own special cache. Now as Kelly is a Barbie girl and into all things pink she asked for a doll’s cache. So here it is Kelly’s doll’s cache its initially full of dolls but don’t worry about sticking to the theme. Look out for the bonus cache.

  18. Granville Country Park and Nature Reserve
  19. Just use the historical event that the film itself is based on as your inspiration. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lionel_Logue http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/George_VI_of_the_United_Kingdom As the film is based on real life characters who happen to be dead and real life events just refer to them in your listing. and then state that this location was inspired by this historical event.
  20. From Kittys pine cone walk note the mini stepping by the kids wa prety slick mud on top of frozen earth that day
  21. Just use http://www.geocaching.com/hide/rate.aspx The knowledge base gives clearer guidance on what d&t mean http://support.Groundspeak.com/index.php?p....page&id=82 Has anyone here done ben nevis the winter version ? both classed as the same cache as the ammobox will be beneath a few feet of snow, the path is invisible, you need good navigation to avoid the cornices, crampons for the iced up scree slope etc and still have to walk a fair few miles. edited a spurious word wot creeped in at the last minute via my clipboard:(
  22. Whats happened in a few parts of the UK there has been competition to see how many feet of snow you can get to work on the roof of your car. The police have probably pulled some of these over (apparently we are talkin 6 feet of snow here) And there you have the start of your rumour someones been warned not to do it again or else and it turns into the message we see above. Worthy of www.snopes.com i think
