The state of NJ is forumlating its trails master plan and they are conducting a survey as part of the planning.

Be sure to take the survey here and don't forget to mention geocaching in question #3. Let them know that we're out there.

Thanks Brian:

As someone who has family from Monmoth to Cape may, I spend a lot of time in NJ.

I also reminded them in the last Question , Not to forget about visitors from out of state.

Please attend one of the "Open Houses" where "the public is invited to learn about the Trails Plan and share perspectives on trail issues and the future of trails in NJ."

Tuesday, September 19, 2006 (3:30 to 7:30 pm) At the Frelinghuysen Arboretum

53 Hanover Avenue, Whippany, NJ

If you are closer to Trenton:

Tuesday, September 26, 2006 (3:30 to 7:30) At the Ellarslie Museum Cadwalader Park, Trenton, NJ

REMEMBER, Jersey is interested in tourists also.

We are Pennsylvania residents, that hike and cache in Jersey often and stated this on the survey when we completed it.

Remember the original plan was written ten year ago. Geocaching did not exist at that time, and is therefore not mentioned. Lets make sure New Jersey officials do not forget our new and wonderful sport.

Completed today. Thanks for the heads up on the survey.

It's hard to believe they had Dog Sledding on question#3 and no geocaching.

Do people dog Sled up in North Jersey?

Thanks for the ability to add my thoughts and comments to this very important survey. I will get the other half of Team MM (the Mac half) to also participate. Thanks again for bringing this to Geocacher's attention!

Done! Pushed geocaching wherever possible. Thanks for the "heads-up", Brian.

Oh, by the way, I did request the planting of wild eggplant along as many trails as possible to accentuate the beauty of the trails!
