+Corp Of Discovery Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 In another thread El Diablo offered a walking stick to a member if he would change his user name- and a stick to the person who suggested the name that was finally used (if at all). Just so the other thread doesn't go off topic (much more than it already has) here is a place for anyone to put their ideas.
+Johnnie Stalkers Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 I second my own nomination for Muddy Fudger III. Really Duane, if you don't do this your just...just plain Chicken.
+Cache Viking Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 I seem to recall in Duane's request for help with a new Avatar someone mentioned "Phoenix"
+flask Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 how 'bout duane-the-lizard? yer kids won't git that either.
+Team Tigger International Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 Out of respexct for the family nature of this site, I'll just suggest the Italian translation of his old name. nella vostra m**** Wulf
+Stunod Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 Really Duane, if you don't do this your just...just plain Chicken.
bug and snake Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 Hey Duane, in the other thread did you notice, you have never had more support on the forum. Hey buddy, this would be the ideal time to make the change. I admit, I have used the expression that you use for yer name on here and, to me, the way I use it I could replace it with 'In Yer Face'. It's not a case of the meaning being bad as I see it. Anyhow, how about you make the change as a gesture of good faith?
+BadAndy Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 I'm gonna hedge my bet and suggest... Upinyrchit we both get a stick and everyones happy that he changed his name
+Renegade Knight Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 I seem to recall in Duane's request for help with a new Avatar someone mentioned "Phoenix" He does keep coming back.
2oldfarts (the rockhounders) Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 How about usng the title of an 'Eagles' song? Remember "Take it to the limit". John
+9Key Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 * Mephistopheles * Jeff, God of Biscuits * upinyachitheel
+Sparky-Watts Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 That's it....feed the maggot to make more flies to make more maggots....
+bons Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 I'm voting for Duane. It's his name. It's what we call him. Makes sense to me anyway.
Broncoholics Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 That's it....feed the maggot to make more flies to make more maggots.... huh

+Corp Of Discovery Posted June 4, 2004 Author Posted June 4, 2004 That's it....feed the maggot to make more flies to make more maggots.... Hmmmm.... so is your suggestion maggot or fly? Or was that a personal attack on another forum member?
Broncoholics Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 I'm voting for Duane. I have been UPINYACHIT for two years. I don't think my wife or kids want me to change it.
+Team GPSaxophone Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 I'm voting for Duane. I have been UPINYACHIT for two years. I don't think my wife or kids want me to change it. I've been Team GPSaxophone for 2 years, but I'm comfortable with people calling me Sax Man or Smurf. Why not keep Upinyachit as your name, but stop using all references to the "chit" part?

+Spzzmoose Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 "Team I don't give a flying rats derriere"!! Must get to the new thread before someone beats me to it! Start working on that stick El Satan! It's mine I tell you!!! MINE!!!!

+Corp Of Discovery Posted June 4, 2004 Author Posted June 4, 2004 Felt it only fair to add the post by El Diablo from the other thread. Duane, I'll give you a Free hiking staff if you change your name and stay out of trouble for 90 days! You have 24 hours to think it over...then the offer is withdrawn. We'll even have a contest if you want to see who comes up with the best name. You choose the winner and they also get a staff. Also you will have the only name ever given to a cacher by the caching community! El Diablo

+Cherokeecacher Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 Upinyacache I vote for this one, but didn't Duane use it in the other thread? It is reminiscent enough of the original, but clean enough for all the over sensitive people.

AC Student Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 Voldemort ("Don't say his name!" - just like the current name but for different reasons.)
+Riddlers Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 At first, I heard so much about Duane when he was refered to by a common name that I thought his name was, Inanotherthread. I also have heard of his so much as just Duane. I vote for Duane.

Broncoholics Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 After getting a good nights rest, I woke up with mixed emotions about changing my user name. What about all the log books I signed as upinyachit out here in CO and in New York. Will geocaching members still recognize my new user name? I probably will be forgotten and become the average every ordinary Joe. I also would bet that I wouldn't get all this attention either. ( Just kidding) I never thought that Groundspeak would affect my emotions so much. For some of you, a name change would be easy, but I feel sad. Everyone I know and even my co-employees know me as Upinyachit. I know the offer still stands with El Diablo, but I need more time to think about. I have about twelve hours left before the offer is closed. I am off to go finish building this house, so I will make a decision in about nine hours. Would my 90% warning level be squashed? LOL Duane
+OurWoods Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 (edited) upinyabees or just "upinya" but that is kinda gross.. so I guess not.. everyone calls him "duane" so that would be a good choice as well.. or something totally different like.. CandysMan or ChiDog Edited June 4, 2004 by OurWoods
