Before Geocaching

Recommended Posts

Here is Keystone, losing badly at a beer pong tournament, circa 1979, Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, Bucknell University. Had I known that I'd grow up to be a geocaching forum moderator, I would have just kept drinking. That's me pouring the beer from the tap.

Took some time to track these down, but....

Two from college days (late 70's). I'm second from left in the top one.

And this one is rough to look at. Senior prom (1976). Gotta love those shoes and the David Cassidy haircut!

Sorry about the size. My scanner and Photoshop skills stink.

Way back, go way back before geocaching, all the way back to high school.

Now, let’s see what you looked like!

This is me on the left in 1974, skiing at Berkshire East, up in Massachussetts. That's my little sister on the right who grew up to be a beautiful, energetic, and smart woman, and survived breast cancer last year. Her first born is now in college. Remember snorkel jackets? They sure were warm.

I asked Mom to find some pics for me. Here they are (gulp).

Senior picture, right before I traded it all in for huge permed hair and contacts.

This was my normal high school pose, and I avoided pictures when possible. The Siamese cat on my lap died not too long ago at the age of 19:

A pic of my brother, my grandfather, me and Morris cat. I would have been around 6th grade here.

Briansnat, you a Teke? I was at University of West Florida, Tau-Psi Chapter.

Yessiree. New Omega chapter at William Paterson College. That's some of my fraternity brothers in the photo. To this day about half of them are still close friends. Like they say, Teke is forever.

Me .... back in '75

Hey DWM, was there a "If This Van's a Rockin' Don't Bother Knockin'" bumper sticker on the back of that van?:

Okay here are mine. These are on my genealogy site so feel free to nose around my family tree if you want to. I have traced my family tree back to 1580 so far. B)

A little info about the pics:

1. Me in 2003 (pic taken with my crappy web cam)

4. Me in 1973 (Yes, I was a giant baby!)

5. Me and my Grandma in 1979

6. Me (on the left!) in 2000

Does this photo clear up any misconceptions folks had on another thread about Keystone's gender? I think so, or she was one ugly girl!!

While I have the album out...here I am as a 5' 10", 130 lb high school sophomore (on my way to a soccer game I gather). I've since since grown 2 inches taller and added 100 lbs. :rolleyes:B) That's my sister on right. She's now in her 30's, with a couple of kids B)

It's hard to see me, but this is the only photo I had handy, and it's kind of a precursor to my geocaching. This is a cairn near Grinell Glacier in Glacier N.P., 1987.

You can just make me out behind the glasses. And yes, I know those clothes weren't fashionable even in '87.

Right after High School,

I am Gonna get it now.......................................

Maybe that is why I am a tree hugger today.

This is Right before the Mountian Lion Encounter.

Let see at that time,

Bobcats $600.00 each

Fox $60.00 each

Coyote $80.00-$100.00 each

That was a good payday,

but had to pay in my SOUL

in the other ways.

Now I AM a TREE HUGGER.

End of Story there.

Well, since we've expanded beyond High School, I'll throw in another.

This is me sitting on the hood of a Secret Service car inside the cargo compartment of the mighty Lockheed C-141B Starlifter. This was taken when Hillary went to central america to show her pseudo-support for them after the big floods. Do you see why it's called the "Tube of Pain"?

There seems to be a common theme here (beer). Twenty two years later and nothing has changed.

Edit: Well something has changed. We drink more that just beer now.
