  1. This is the ONLY log that has been deleted. They posted a "Couldn't Find". How could they say they couldn't find it if they never looked for it. They saw a Buzzard and left. That's their choice. My choice was to delte it on those grounds and also because of the tone with which it was written. This newbie will see many things that disturb them in the future. I think they should quit now before they become entangled too deeply in the careless acts of geocaching.
  2. I've sent you 2 emails. Don't give me the no response bit or I'll post your email and my responses here. Oh yeah, has your Jeep gone to the shredder yet? Have you hugged your vulture today?
  3. Bad Idea.... some places don't allow firecrackers. GC guidelines don't allow it either. Might as well attach the tag to a couple sticks of dynamite or maybe a block of C4.
  4. Dave, It was a good hide. I did not see any problem with they way you set it up or with the way you hid it. You got it right......your ratings were good to. And I did get to meet Mossheads. Thanks
  5. Yeah Dave! I found your first hide on Easter, right behind Mossheads. Thanks for hiding caches!
  6. Placed a Multi on January 4, 2004 and the FTF was on January 11, 2004. Just had the third finder today. GCHF03
  7. Ah, but I doubt if he uses ink....he may get his stuff from a tele-prompter. I sent my letter.
  8. That's me over there on my Avatar. That photo was taken in 1918 right after I joined the Navy.
  9. After 10 posts it will become Geocacher... To get something else you need to become a premium member.
  10. Sorry....Looks like you got some very good advice so far. You'll surely find out what you need pretty quickly. Have you chosen your first caches that you want to hit? Practice entering or downloading waypoints before you hit the field your first time looking for that ever elusive tupperware. Play with your GPS, like someone else suggested. Take a walk around your neighborhood and check out the feature. Most important is to have fun with it. You'll love it, I know.
  11. Let me know too! I'd love to be paid to geocache. I'd only have one thing to say if I had a job like that.......Look out CCCooper!
  12. Wait until your birthday or Christmas. That's one of the troubles with todays youth. They expect too much will be given to them, but never think of working hard to earn the things they want. I know....I raised 2 teenagers. I was earning my own way when I was only 12. If I wanted something I worked and saved. Not as easy to do now, with adult responsibilities and all.
  13. Try to save that forty bucks and add a bit more to it until you have about 100 bucks. Then buy a cheap GPSr. Or if you have a nice friend with a GPSr they are not using, maybe they'd let you have it or at least borrow it for a while. Then learn all you can by lurking here and you should be set to find some when spring arrives. Have fun with whatever your able to work out, even if it's just hanging out here.
  14. I can't give you any insight on HTML, but do a search for the cacher "bons" . He has a simple guide to HTML to use on cache pages. bons, if you read this can you post the link? Here it is.
  15. That requires you to use HTML for the page....
  16. Do you mean in the forums? When you add a topic or add a response, there is the option for the addition of photos. They need to be somewhere on the web and you then add the link after you click on the . Does that help?
  17. Shouldn't it be archived since the micro containing the logbook is missing? If you have to email the owner with an answer to a question, isn't that considered a Virtual???? Shouldn't the owner replace the final stage? And if they are not able to because of distance, is this not a vacation cache? Anybody have opinions on this?
  18. You started this thread in a public forum.....If you wanted the opinion of TPTB then you should email them. What you'll get here is opinion from the public. TB's are not trade items....that's my opinion
  19. My GPSr came about a year before geocaching. Used it for kayaking and fishing.
  20. Hawaii seems to be a dead end for TB's. It might be better to just bring back as many as you can when you go, rather than leaving any there. That is unless their goal is to go there.
  21. Any office store will sell labels. I use Avery labels for my sig label. They come in ink jet or laser. White or clear. Design is up to you. Just get creative with your computer. MS Word already has the templates needed.
  22. You should have said goodbye to everything you put into the cache as soon as you placed it and walked away. It's not worth getting your knickers in a twist over. It's going to happen. That's just one of the hard realities of this. Not everyone who visits will do that, just a handful. Cache on!
  23. I plan on doing one as soon as the ice is off. It's a 5/5 with over 5 miles of paddling involved. It was placed last July and hasn't been found yet. Check out Canoeing Adventure.
