As I do not have a wish list nore many forums posts, here is some information for the one who's mission is to send something to me:

I'm not a coin collector, I prefer to send those out into the world with some nice mission. I prefer coins with a hole or some other possibility to put a mission info on. If there are coins with a special topic, I love finding missions that fit those topics.

Concerning design I like simple things more than extremely colored ones.

Hope that helps a little bit.

Tell me about it! Luckily, one of my recipients had less than 200 posts, so it wasn't THAT tedious to go through and see if that person mentioned a coin. They did... and WHAT a coin!!! It cost me a bunch to make a trade, but I think I got 'er done! Hopefully they haven't gone out and picked it up somewhere else in the meantime.

My other recipient, however, has several thousand posts and no trade list

Here's a hint - though not all told me about their child (I passed on what I had), I recommend you go to your recipient's GC.com profile, and check out their gallery - often they like to take photos of their family out caching.
