+Finamore Family Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 The kids read about this, this morning. They are really excited! They count down the Christmas days from January so this is definately for them/us. Getting gifts any time of the year is fun BUT in Christmas paper it's even better. Thank you for starting this mission & letting us join in the fun. Finamore Family Quote
+Sparticus06 Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 (edited) I hope that who ever I get as my recipient, I can find a coin to give them off their want list. I know that would make me happy to get a coin of that sort. This is definitely going to be an exciting mission. If I get someone who does not get snow for xmas, maybe I will see if I can send a box of snow too...lmao Then I can say I shipped some of my snow somewhere else. +Geo-Gophers Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 My seeker list is ridicuous lol, all coins that I would never in a million years expect to receive in a mission, they're all so hard to find. I just keep the list as a record for myself....if I see a coin I like I stick it on there so I don't forget about it, also in the hope that one day I finally might have something worthy to trade for any of them......plus there's the fact that I've got a mind like a sieve and am a compulsive listmaker...I need to be with my memory (or lack of it). So......to whoever gets me (or our Geodog Harv for that matter ), don't go worrying about the coin because I'll be over the moon with whatever coin is sent. Ali Quote
+mousekakat Posted October 22, 2008 Posted October 22, 2008 No trader list for us, but we've activated just about everything we've got with the exception of the 4 little germs that we received recently! SO, just check my activated list and you'll see what we've got, anything else is just icing on the cake Quote

So curious of my missionpersons so I can start research and find suitable things for them. Thank you very much for putting this together, I can just imagine how much work it will be for you Butterfly_lady but it will be so much fun. grodan Karin Quote

+Rockin Roddy Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Can I ask...why does the mission need to be shipped by Nov 10th? If it's a Santa's mission, wouldn't December 10th be a better time? Most people won't wait to open their packages that long, will they? Sorry if this has been addressed before, I didn't read any posts, just wondering. Quote
ELTADA Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 I think the November 10th deadline to ship was to allow for sufficient time to send a pkg overseas. December tends to have tighter shipping deadlines due to volume and if you want to send something using an economical method, you have to think ahead. Butterfly Lady has mentioned that if you want to send something priority and send it later, as long as it gets there before Christmas, you are good to go. At least that's what I have interpreted from the thread... Quote

I think I'll still bow out as money will likely be too tight at that time (going on unemployment next week...YIKES!). I need a job badly. Quote

Later is fun if you are happy to pay more. Quote
+Butterfly_lady Posted October 23, 2008 Author Posted October 23, 2008 Nearly 200 missions!!! I'm getting a heap of emails every day. Keep them coming. I'm extending the sign up one day (because it's a holiday weekend here, and because I can!) Sorry, but once I close off - that's it! I've had previous missions where there were latecomers, and it does make it hard. So this time the policy is - get your sign up emailed before cut off...... I've been around other national forums and posted links (though one moderator did not like it and closed it) so there has been plenty of time and notice to sign up. Mission details will go out over several days. Please be patient and do not email me if you know so-and-so has their mission but you don't. I will post in the forums soon the full list, and then again a notice once all missions have been emailed. (then you can bombard me!) Hopefully not. Quote

I am keeping a list of names for this mission.... and they will change color as we go. Red means I have allocated a mission to that name. (I'll won't use green then due to some males not being able to tell the difference) Dark Blue means that you have posted in the forums that your mission has been sent. Pink is that your recipient has received the mission sent. So it is VERY important that you all post the receipt of a mission PLEASE. AND somehow I will try to add that you've received your mission. The summer here means also that I am out caching. From Dec 25th onwards I am unlikely to change anyone's status.
