BenGeo'en Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 My vote is for Gold, of course. The coin will look great as it travels the Biggest State in the Union. LOL I know how you all feel about the size of your state. More LOL's
CKayaks Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Order placed. Great price, so I ordered quite a few to drop in caches out here in the Golden State. As for the LE metal, black gold of course! Well, maybe black nickel is as close as you are going to get to that. CKayaks Former resident of Abilene and Tahoka, TX
AtlantaGal Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 (edited) I too vote for gold on the LE and an antique copper on the regular (if you're asking). Order placed for 2 of each. Thanks. Edited March 28, 2006 by AtlantaGal
Ryder3 & Better Half Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Order placed. Thanks! We would have to say gold for the LE also.
thBriGuy Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 I have to disagree. I see an oil pump, and I think... Black Gold (or in the case of coins, black nickel) it just wouldn't seem right any other way. I really think these would look sharp.
RustyBeerCan Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 what what type of metal is the regular going to be?
bone1977 Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 I'll be ording soon. (Don't get paid until end of month. ) As for my vote of color, it is an oil coin, so have a dyed black coin. Bone1977
AV Dezign Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Sent an email for 2 LE I also agree that Black would look nice and be more aproppriate.
ParentsofSAM Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 I like both the idea of Black Nickel and Gold so make one RE and one LE.
Big JohnP Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Sent you an e-mail for 1 of each. I vote Gold for the LE.
tokencollector Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Antiqued gold will give you a combination of black and gold - and may make the details pop a little better. If you go with black nickel for the LE (which sounds cool too), get the tracking number filled in a contrasting color.
tdecell Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 So if it's a TEXAS coin, wouldn't it still be large even if it was a "mini"....... I'm down for a couple.
AtlantaGal Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 What is the shipping cost on these? it was $2.50 on an order of 4 or 5.
Grimlock Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 So if it's a TEXAS coin, wouldn't it still be large even if it was a "mini"....... I'm down for a couple. Great point! I'd support that ... ya know, everything is "bigger" in Texas!
Grimlock Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 ... Texas Mini details. -It will be trackable, have it's own icon, and have the TX prefix . . . Just curious, do you know if the Official state coin (put out by Texas Geocaching) will have the TX prefix as well? I'd be fine if both had the same prefix.
ParentsofSAM Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 What is the shipping cost on these? it was $2.50 on an order of 4 or 5. I ordered 8 and the shipping was still only $2.50.
FlyinV Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 What is the shipping cost on these? it was $2.50 on an order of 4 or 5. I ordered 8 and the shipping was still only $2.50. We ordered 1 and it was $2.50. LE = Black Nickel

The Moop Along Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Got my order in for (2) of each. I vote Black Nickel or Antique Gold on the LE, and I love AG's suggestion of Copper for the regular. Sounds terrific

Ladycacher Posted March 28, 2006 Author Posted March 28, 2006 Post this on the more local forums for Texas and you may get more bites. I'm going to. Should the prefix be TM (Texas Mini) or Tx (Texas)? I got to thinking about it and maybe it woul dbe best to change it.
Team OleOmi Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 (edited) We vote for Black Nickel for the LE and gold for the regular... As a Texan, I can honestly say, this is the only "mini" any Texan would be proud of... Edited March 28, 2006 by Team OleOmi
jime71211 Posted March 28, 2006 Posted March 28, 2006 Just ordered 2 of each, and I like black for the LE

FlyinV Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 <Moved the duplicate thread here - thanks. - FSM> Ah ha! Now we know who you are! Muh ah ha ha!
The_Proffens Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Ordered 2 of Each ...... And I can't decide on a vote for the LE
Lazer Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Ordered 6 mini and 2 LE, i'm liking black for the LE.
KandRS Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 I think TX is fine to share. I like the Black gold idea, maybe an antiqued gold finish, like they do on class rings for schools.
AtlantaGal Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Just curious, can C&P do a black nickel coin with gold relief? That would be rather cool looking and hasn't been done yet.
Ladycacher Posted March 29, 2006 Author Posted March 29, 2006 Just curious, can C&P do a black nickel coin with gold relief? That would be rather cool looking and hasn't been done yet. I can ask.....
Slammer180 Posted March 29, 2006 Posted March 29, 2006 Ordered two, Like the idea of gold for the LE
M-T-P Posted March 30, 2006 Posted March 30, 2006 I really like the Black Nickel idea as well. I've ordered half-a-dozen.
AtlantaGal Posted May 2, 2006 Posted May 2, 2006 Got a ship date for these yet? It's been a little over 4 weeks since I made my payment.
kcart Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? 5 weeks + Who is it? Oh, I'm sorry. I can't come to the door right now. I'm afraid that in my weakened condition, I could take a bad spill down the stairs. You can reach my parents at their places of business. Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate your concern for my well-being. Have a nice day! ©¿©¬
The_Proffens Posted May 4, 2006 Posted May 4, 2006 Checked the website I ordered these from to see if there might be an update, but nothing. Still says Mid to Late April?
