Stony2008
Whats your odometer say? Mine currently says 1425mi. I know its low but I havent had my GPS very long and I only use it to geocache. Quote Link to comment
+Renegade Knight
Mine rolled over. It's about 200 on the second trip through. Quote Link to comment
+Mopar
Here's mine: Of course this GPS is only a year or so old. Guess I should dig up the old one and see what's on there. Quote Link to comment
+IV_Warrior
Apparantly, that's the limit of my Meri-Gold's odometer. It hit that mark when I was a couple miles from home and just sat there. And that's almost all driving/waking (maybe 300 miles flying) since mid-January of this year. Quote Link to comment
+Clan X-Man
My Garmin V is my odometer/speedometer in my work van cause I'm to cheap to get the real one fixed. Right noe the odometer is at 128. Oh! I have to use it as my gas needle too! Again to cheap to get it fixed. X Quote Link to comment
dampeoples
I had one up to about 60k before, It stayed in my work van Quote Link to comment

+IV_Warrior
Geez, am I the only one who totally resets her trip odometer from time to time? When I had a Garmin Etrex, with a seperate "odometer" and "trip odometer" I would periodically reset the Trip odometer, but not the main one. Now that I only have one, I haven't been resetting it, except when it decided to loose it's bearings and the whole GPS reset itself..... but now I need to. Quote Link to comment

+IVxIV
Geez, am I the only one who totally resets her trip odometer from time to time? I reset mine all the time - The odometer on my iFinder Pro shows 5,742 kilometers. On it the odometer cannot be reset, either by pulling the batteries or even a firmware upgrade.. The "trip meter" can be reset though, of course. You mean on Garmins you can reset the "total odometer" as well as the trip meter? Seems weird,, Quote Link to comment
+Miragee
Until this thread, I didn't know about leaving the Odometer off the things to be reset. I changed that now so I'll only be resetting the trip odometer. It would have been interesting to see what the total odometer was since I bought this unit second hand and it flew down from San Francisco, and had done some flying before that. That was an interesting track to look at . . . Quote Link to comment

+Mopar
Geez, am I the only one who doesn't leave their GPSr on seven days a week? How important IS this? Mine is rarely on unless I'm caching, or using it to navigate to a location. Quote Link to comment
+welch
376mi at the moment. I reset it from time to time but not that I recall in the past month or so. Quote Link to comment
+Lil Devil
This includes trips to Las Vegas and Washington state. I was caching on those trips so they count I reset the Trip Odometer periodically, but I've never reset the main one since I got the GPS in January 2004. Quote Link to comment
+Joe Smith
I got an external antenna for mine in the car, so if i go anywhere it's usually turned on. and it's at 2916 from christmas. I really miss my old legend. After I updated the firmware it reset and I lost a road trip to Missouri, and a flight to alaska. Very impressive numbers. Joe Smith IT KEEPS GONG UP!!!!!!! +bigcall
I've never reset mine in 3+ years. The main display is blank ever since I went over 9,999 mi., but the odometer in the gas mileage section of my Garmin V reads 45,333.1 mi. Quote Link to comment
+º
I've to reset my odometer of my etrex yellow every 10.000 km which is ... often. The odometer of my car shows 360.000 km Quote Link to comment
+1setter
Mine is at 19.15 miles. I just upgraded the firmware. That pretty much takes care of it. It's been to England and France and back in the plane. That put some miles on it. Quote Link to comment

+Airmapper
4,592.6 on my replacement unit, my first had over 6,000 on it, and a few I had intermediately had a thousand or so on them. I estimate I have about 12,000 miles if I combine the use of all the units, and thats just the AirMap, my Garmin has over 600 on it. Quote Link to comment

andylphoto
Odometer is 6881.24 since I got the GPS in January. I did accidentally reset it once a couple weeks in, but with less than 1000 miles on it. Since then, I reset the trip data regularly, but let the odometer run when I am using it. +geognerd
Sheesh. So Garmin (and Lowrance?) has a regular odometer and a trip odometer. Come on, Magellan! All the eXplorist has is a trip odometer, which I reset periodically. Edited August 17, 2006 by geognerd Quote Link to comment

+frivlas
I've had my 60cs since May 2005 and use it just for caching. I know it was reset once, and it currently reads 19413.94miles. Wow. Quote Link to comment
