  1. Wow! That is exactly what me and my buddy do. This is not an unfair advantage. If you can afford it, get one. Caching is caching.

  4. AND THIS FOR THE BACK. IT WILL DO YOU ABOUT AS MUCH GOOD AS THE FRONT. NEAT IDEA BUT I DOUBT IT WOULD FLOAT. X
  5. JUST A GOOF, BUT THEN AGAIN THEY WOULD BE FUN TO HAND OUT TO GROUP MEMBERS (STATE AND LOCAL GROUPS.) X
  6. Amen to that! South Carolina to Maryland and back again with Geoholic 28. Started out as going for the APE but turned into a road trip filles with cool caches. Some of which really trumped the APE when we got there. In the end, round trip, almost a 1000 miles, I think. X
  7. Well put Paula. I agree. Jon was just about geocaching, pure and simple. As far as caches go he liked them tough and in the woods. We placed a bunch today just to get together and see each other. We placed six in AJ State Park and they are there for Jon. I think that a coin is a nice idea but Jon never was much about them. His favorite coin was the SC_r volunteer coin he recieved from the reviewer for what he has done for caching as a whole. I like the sentiment of UOTrackers idea but I don't know how Jon would feel about it. X
  8. Do we really need them again? I think we have done just fine without. X
  9. Once a soldier always a soldier. I was/am/will always be a Combat Engineer. Thanks you husband for his years of service from another former military member. Watch how you throw around the old word. I remember them too. Sadly I just listened to them this morning on the way to work. The X-Man part of my handle came from my love of the X-Men comics from Marvel comics since I was a very small child. My Dad gave me a X-Men comic when I was just 5. The Clan part, which I have had some of the folks down here connect with the other clan of the K variety for some odd reason, comes from our Scottish heritage. Oh, X was my Army handle as well. X
  10. That's to funny! Like the great Ron White said, and I quote, "You cain't fix stupid!" (The I in can't added to get the accent right.) X
  11. I have to throw my vote in for Jon & Miki. Not only have they spread good caching will across our great state and fought tirelessly against the anti-geocaching bill but they also spread that same goodwill in all their endeavors. Just recently, for example, Camp Chemo (I hope that the spelling is right) that they undertook to spread a little joy to sick children. It is never about the smilies with these two. The only smilies they worry about are the ones on others faces. Had it not been for Jon, myself and a couple of other cachers would not be caching today. He is a voice of reason in a crowd of unreasonable folks a lot of the time for me. So YAY JON & MIKI! X
  12. If I am not mistaken, Butner is just chock full of history and historical type caches. X
  13. South Carolina. It used to be that way around here. Maybe I look a little threatening? X
  14. Went caching with niece and nephew in tow today. Went a little to far to park at a cache and got stuck. Sat for two hours with no cell phone reception and alot of people passing by and not even asking if they could help. You ever realize how many people will just let you sit there and not even ask if you need help? Try it some time. Anyway, this guy stops by offers to help, goes home gets his truck and pulls me out. Turns out we are in the same business which was cool. I know he will probably never see this but THANKS! There are some really good people out there. X
  15. Why close this thread without even emailing the OP? X
