Tayger
Hellou again Guess you have some general problem atm. I wanted to check a friends done geocaches. After clicking his link in my friend list I got his overview page. After this I click on tab "Geocaches" and got an overview of his caches found and owned. Then I clcik on his finds (link All Geocaches Finds) and got the following error message: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. I assume there are some general problems around. Greetings Tayger Quote Link to comment
GLK1
I am having the same problem. I can't see my friends caches, and I can't even see my own. Quote Link to comment
Zop
Noticing this here as well. Trying to view unknown caches placed by a specific user shows 'username' instead of the actual user and the error stated above. <!-- Server: WEB14; Build: Web.HotFix_20130821.1 --> Quote Link to comment
jellis
Well I hope they fix it soon and at least tell us they will. I cached most of this last week with friends and I want to confirm I am logging the same as them since we were all together and I didn't have all the caches loaded and could only mark the spots we did. +peopleinblack
I notice this same issue. I think it is a severe problem and should be fixed soon! Quote Link to comment
frinklabs
Same here. I'd give this a 20% statistical probability that it is fallout from trying to list the Labs. Quote Link to comment
kunarion
This seems to be related to the Topic (maybe it's a database thing). When I request "Search for Nearby Geocaches" from the GC home page, the list doesn't sort. Click "D" or "T" in the "D/T" column, or the Favorites icon, and you get a search form instead of getting the sorted list. Click "Placed", "Last Found", or the "Distance" icon, and the list flashes, but the sort does not occur. But the cache info in the list is up to date. ertyu
I'm having trouble getting any page generated by http://www.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.aspx Provincial or user cache lists for example. First noticed at 10am central today. Quote Link to comment

Mockingbird559
Same situation here. Could not get found by or hidden by to work at all. How do you change/fix one thing and break many others? Quote Link to comment
fam2go
Looks like we can now see the Lab cache type icon some of us earned at Block Party. I would guess one thing got added/fixed and in the process something else got broken. I'm sure Groundspeak is scrambling around trying to fix the code. Quote Link to comment
Ruru_nz
I'm having the same problem - hopefully it is a quick fix as like others I use this feature for all sorts of things! Quote Link to comment
ngrrfan
Maybe they are working on the Newsletter function, which doesn't work for many of us. Quote Link to comment

Allondro
It's not just this, the entire searching feature seems broken. I searched for all new caches in my state and got the same result. So I tried other types of searches and nada. Quote Link to comment
shady-grady
I noticed this, then checked the status page which had green all the way down. Quote Link to comment
Orcadian
After submitting an enhancement request recently I was assured by Groundspeak that they closely monitor the forums. So why haven't they posted here to say they are working on this group of problems? Hmmm, could that function be broken too? They also have a Twitter account. Why no announcement there? They do a lot of things right, but they sure know how to p*** us off. :-) Quote Link to comment

(s'pose we could sign up for alerts...nah) But...can I say...lets not trash the web page people....I suspect they are doing things for love....and surely will sort it soon. at least I now know it was not a "me" problem. chill people...enjoy....and go safe out there P Quote Link to comment

tomfuller & Quill
Someone found two of my Earth Caches yesterday. They have found over 150. I tried to see what others they have done. +bstock123
I am also seeing this. +two bison
In meantime you can use this: http://jeep.geocaching.com/seek/nearest.aspx Nice but doesn't help when looking up another cachers finds. Actually the ad for jeep works very nicely just change the www to jeep in the address and hit enter and there you go. It's sort of like having the major sports arenas sponsored by products ... think AT&T Park for the San Francisco Giants for example ... I guess. Quote Link to comment
two bison
Can we get someone from HQ to address the time-line for fixing this? Quote Link to comment

Dgwphotos
I just noticed something new about cache pages. The URL's now include the cache name and GC codes. Perhaps the internal links were broken by implementation of a new URL system? Quote Link to comment
jrcbec
Yup there are some definite issues with the geocaching site....looking at my PQ and it has 1 local and then the next ones are 70+ miles away....well this should make it a challenge to find a cache to log tomorrow Quote Link to comment
TxVic
Add me to the list. I needed to update coordinates on one of my new caches, no can do, since all afternoon. Guess, I might have to do something else. I used to do other things, what was that...............oh TV, maybe I could use that thing again. No, I don't think I used that remote for a cache container, but I might have robbed the batteries. Oh well. Quote Link to comment
ptateam
Like many above.... under "Public Profile" then "Geocaches" tab, when I click on any cache type for any user, including my own, I get the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object". Quote Link to comment
