The Fossillady Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 We got 35 of our 49 coins traded, which I guess it's a very good trading rate. I think that is pretty good over 70% when only 52% overall trades. I only traded 6 out of 18 for 33%. There is always next year and still a lots for the missions. Thanks to all. Quote

Ashallond Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 (edited) (i'll just toss a note that if anyone has a compass rose (of any type) that would once to trade, let me know.) My #190 Compass Rose 2009 Polished Nickel did not trade... CF30 well, I've got 4 coins that didn't trade. Talk with me. And I know that one (of many) was on my list of want coins. I only had 2 of mine trade, but hey, maybe next time around they'll be desired by someone. Edited February 10, 2010 by Ashallond Quote

The Moop Along Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 All packages from me are sent What little work I had to do anyway. It was only 7 packages because my trade rate was only a dismal 24%. Oh well Quote
Dark Elf Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 Good to hear that ModelCitizen & gardengorilla are preparing the mailers...then half of the coins i traded for are on their way B) And i can even see one of them at the picture Went to town today to buy some mailers, because i didn't have enough at home Quote

scificollector Posted February 10, 2010 Posted February 10, 2010 (edited) Lets see: 16 traded/25 possible or 64% USA 7 packages/ 9 coins Germany 1 package / 1 coin Australia 1 package / 1 coin Canada 1 package / 2 coins Netherlands 1 package / 3 coins All trades should go out today after this post. I have to run up to the post office for some other packages and will probably be up there for an hour at least getting them shipped. I also made a list of what each of my trades did trade choice-wise: 9th, 16th, 6th, -, 3rd, 7th, 5th, 10th, 12th, 16th, -, -, -, -, 10th, 11th, 1st, -, 11th, -, -, -, 8th, 13th, 14th This was interesting to see because a few of the coins that I thought would do really well didn't and some others unexpectedly got one of the first few trade choices listed for the particular coin. Guess it shows the difference we all put different emphasis on what we consider good coins. I enjoyed it and hope to do it again next year. update: all mailed as of 2 pm CST Edited February 10, 2010 by scificollector Quote
ECplus3 Posted February 10, 2010 Author Posted February 10, 2010 I hope to continue doing this once a year... But only once a year!! If someone wants to do a summer trade, I will certainly participate and lend assistance. But I won't do the organizing. Now where are my mailers? Quote

Crowesfeat30 Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Ok, I got all Math Trade packages shipped this afternoon! Most are labeled "Math Trade". On the small packages I used too much tape! So no label on those ones. But those ones are all domestic so they will arrive at their destinations soonest. CF30 Quote
AtlantaGal Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Went to the PO today and the line was out the door for some reason. Wednesdays are usually never really busy. I couldn't have my poor mother wait in the car for an hour. So all mailers will go out tomorrow. Quote

FScout Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 Wow, 16 of 21 traded. I was pleasantly suprised. Although I didn't get some of my first choices I did get my first Compass Rose. WooHoo! All in all l I am very pleased with the results. I'll be sending out 5 to Portugal, 7 in the USA, 2 to the Netherlands, and 1 to Canada. That will be 11 mailers. I will try to get them all out by the end of the week. Thank you Chuck for another great Math Trade. Quote

GeoKs Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 I put all our packages in the mail last evening...2 stay within Canada, 2 to the Netherlands and the rest to U.S. destinations. I felt I got off lightly on the postage, which totalled $29 for 11 packages. Quote
geoquino Posted February 11, 2010 Posted February 11, 2010 I sent my only coin to the U.S. yesterday. I could have spent about $2 for standard shipping but I spent $4 dollars for registered. I also asked the post office lady to stick some stamps and in the end there were five stamps, two stickers and one label. It looked strange but interesting. Quote

ECplus3 Posted February 11, 2010 Author Posted February 11, 2010 18 of 20 mailers sent out for a grand total of $50.65. I ran out of mailers, and my 2 yr old ran off with one of the coins (sorry TMA... we'll find it for you!) I'm glad some people have started posting that their trades have been sent. Could everyone do that as they send them off? That way people will get a sense of when they should be expecting to see coins in their mailbox. And as you get your coins, please, PLEASE post pictures! +gardengorilla Posted February 12, 2010 Posted February 12, 2010 Well I guess I've calmed down enough now to post this...though I am still sick to my stomach with this grievous mistake I have made in the math trade. I was so careful, checking the list once, twice, three times and so happy that I was able to figure out the code and how to define the parameters of a trade with a multiple coin...this is hard to say because it's embarrassing but I will not be receiving most of the coins that I thought I won...instead I will be receiving their equivalent number as per the spreadsheet. Yes, you read right! Instead of typing in the actual coin number I used the line number so I guess these are the coins I am getting as opposed to the coins I thought I had won...this is quite a blow as I let many great coins go! I had a good cry and a couple of beers and I guess at one point had a good laugh at myself but I am still a bit in shock. Actuality... / Once Upon a Dream...
