What is your cache density

To put some of these numbers in perspective.

If I enter the location of a place which I spent a week on business last November (Livingstone, Zambia) I get:

5 miles: 2

10 miles: 4

24 miles: 4

50 miles: 4

100 miles: 6

500 miles: 182

1000 miles: 2044

Allen, Texas

5 - 279

10 - 840

25 - 2963

50 - 6152

Only the price of gas is stopping me from finding more. I tend to do more on my bike now. I have most of the ones in the 5 mile radius, all except the ones temporarily off line (about 5)

I've found everything out to 10 miles, but past that I start getting into caches that require high-clearance or 4x4 to access ... or just gas to drive to down the highway, but I'm cheap and hate driving which isn't too conducive to me getting out too far. So within the past month I've started doing the hiding thing in areas that I can peddle to.

It can't figure out my address, so I used my zip code. 23149 Once you get about 20-30 miles away, caches in several cities start showing up, so the numbers rise for 50 miles.

5 miles 3

10 miles 21

Not bad for a very rural area of a rural state...? We like our "woodsy" caches...

91523, a zip in Burbank CA (I have no idea whether this represents the most cache dense part of the great SoCal megagopolis, I just used it for starters)

5 miles 595

10 --- 1,619

25 --- 6,135

50 -- 17,866 (which is more caches than in the entire state of Florida).

I'm wondering if I'd started with something north of San Diego if I might have seen more initial density.

Am I doing something different? When I run the search "by Zip Code" on the Cache Seek Page I don't get the same numbers that you do fo 91523. Here is what I get:

5 miles = 353

10 miles = 972

25 miles = 3714

50 Miles = 10010

and 1000 miles = 127603

Still impressively dense, but only about 60% of what you reported. It is also fewer caches than in 10 states other than California.
