  1. I hate Waiting because life gets put on hold. You cannot plan anything just incase that phone call comes. Not only that but the flack I take from the wife about waiting around doing nothing get really annoying.
  2. To the tune of The House of the Rising Sun There is a cache in Ogden They call it Bug Hotel And it's been the ruin of many a cacher And Signal I know I'm one My mother was a cacher She made me my first stash My father was a hiking man Down in New Orleans Now the only thing a hiker needs Is a GPS and boot And the only time he's satisfied Is when he's on a route Oh cachers tell your children Not to do what I have done Spend your lives in bush and bramble In search of the Bug Hotel Well, I got one foot on the trail The other foot in the creek I'm goin' back to the Bug Hotel To retrieve my Geocoin There is a cache in Ogden They call it Bug Hotel And it's been the ruin of many a cacher And God I know I'm one

  4. Oh bother I guess I won, now I will have to go activate the coin and think of a good mission for it. Well off I go to activate the coin...... Oh I guess I should also say thanks to Write Shop Robert for picking me as a winner and for putting on the uncointest.
  5. I don't deserve to win because I am just too darn lazy. I have been sitting here all day since oyu posted the uncointest trying to get up the energy to write why I don't deserve to win but it take too much energy to think of something profound to say. So please do not pick me as a winner because if you do I will have to respond and I don't think I have the energy or the drive to respond, oh bother why did I enter this one.....
  6. Don't fret over it. My TB was dropped off in Spain after leaving Vancouver BC and was picked up but not logged a few days later. Then he went missing for over 2 years then he reappeared in Finland. Never give up hope. We beleived and Tigger Too is now on his way home. http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=83712 Some times cachers find TB on holidays and have no ways to log until they get home. Have faith.
  7. I would like to thank the present and past executive of the BCGA for all the hard work they have done. They have had many talks with BC Parks and now the pay off is here. We can cache in Parks and BC Parks is sponsoring caches. Now how great is that. I feel I live in the Best Place on Earth.

  10. Welcome to the addiction. We ahve a great group of cachers here in BC. We do have a provincail organization with alot of members in the Greater Vanvouver area. You can go to the website and join up, it is free and there you will find lots of help and others to cache with. The url is: http://www.bcgeocaching.com There are also other boards in the area, at http://lmga.net/, http://www.vigps.com/ and http://chwkcacher.proboards26.com/ All the boards have loads of information on caching in and around Vancouver. Good luck and once again Welcome..
  11. Try going here http://geocachingwa.org/ great bunch of cachers that are willing to help out.
  12. As of yesterday Fla66 had a few left. They are going fast though.
  13. Met up with Fla66 in Abbotsford yesterday and got one of his coins. They are beautiful. bob has done a great job on the coin. I took a few pics for him. Here is the coin for all those who wanted a picture of it.
  14. Well that is just too cool . I watch as mom and dad watched him finish hatching. Must have shocked mom though the way she jumped up. One second she was sitting on the nest and then she was up and flapping her wings. Not often one gets to see something like that. I am just glad I remembered to take a picture of the occasion. Little Dude 1 hatched May 22 2007 2:29pm est.
  15. Watching this morning (live on the West Coast) while at work and Dad was feeding Mom when she jumped up off the eggs and they both started looking at the eggs. Took a shot of them but cannot tell if it is little dude of a piece of fluff. Well what do you think? Fluff or Litttle Dude?
  16. Got home from work today and waiting in my mailbox, my Gold and Silver coins . Are they ever great. We have APE coins in British Columbia Canada. Not bad shipping time. Canada post seems to be getting a little quicker. The coins are awesome. Great job, thanks a bunch for taking on the task and seeing to the end, my hat is off to you.
  17. Nice looking coin, ordered mine tonight for mission 9. Thanks for putting this togeather.
  18. And yet I had a cache approved in Washington in just under two hours this week. Different approver. Maybe Mnt.Man is on holidays. Either way I look forward to coming out to the Rock to do your new caches.
  19. Hi Greg welcome to the great sport of Geocaching. As I am a Garmin user I am a little partial to them but what Half-Canadian says is true. I get frustrated caching with cacher that have Magellans as they do hold there lock better under the tree's. That is the only time I wish I had a Magellan also. I also agree that mail order is the way to go. I have ordered a few things from GPS Central and am very pleased.
  20. Just signed up on Frapper, my TB that is MIA is: Tigger Too Tracking #TBGJXA taken from Castell de Montjuïc (Barcelona) GCGG4C by cacher Partiolainen, from Helsinki, Finland. Tigger Too was removed from the cache on January 13,2005 and we have not seen him since. PLease help Tigger Too get home.
  21. Sorry if this has been asked before, but what about Bugs that cachers have taken and never logged. I have one (TBGJXA ) that was taken from a cache in Spain and the cacher has posted that he has it but has yet to log the Bug or move it. It has been over 10 months since he picked up the bug and he has logged other caches since then. I would also be willing to be part of the rescue team from the Vancouver area of British Columbia Canada.
  22. Good Luck Keith, I wish I was going along with you. Canada is a great country and I have not been across it in over 25 years. Make sure to take some time to see some of the wonders of this great country. We will be watching your progress across Canada. Be safe and have a great time. Love Bugs
