+paulandstacey
Well, as we're just over 2 months away, I was just wondering which of the coin collectors and traders that frequent the board are going to heading to GWS5 in May? We've got a van load of folks (mostly coin collectors too) making the near 1700 km trek. Who could we see there? Quote Link to comment
+AtlantaGal
I'll be there, arriving Thursday evening. Quote Link to comment
+DresselDragons
The dragons will be there...arriving Friday night. Quote Link to comment
+wsgaskins
I'll be there, too...... considering I live about 15 miles away and I have to actually do on-site setup and takedown. I hope to see all of you on Saturday night (~7pm) at the planned Geocoin trading/social session at GW5. Quote Link to comment

+paulandstacey
Our drive is 20 hours non-stop. Leaving early thrusday a.m., we're driving (and caching) through the Thursday night, aiming to be in Raleigh sometime Friday afternoon. Should be quite the road trip! Quote Link to comment
+Pepper
The twins and I are headed out Wednesday morning, three full days of caching along our route (to be determined) looking forward to the event AND the Saturday night trading fever. See y'all there Pepper Quote Link to comment
+nolefan9399
Probably not going to be able to make GW5 but we are attending MWGB3 so hopefully some of the big coin collectors will be there as well Quote Link to comment
+lindsychris
Our drive was always 507 miles to Knightdale, but with 540 finally being open, it's a little less than that. Our trip is just shy of 8 hours (if we don't stop to cache! ). We'll leave as soon as I get home from work on Friday and should arrive just after midnight. Quote Link to comment
+Crowesfeat30
Strider and I hope to be there - have registered, paid and all. Something has come up that might disrupt our plans but I am still very hopeful we will be there. Not sure of our direct mileage yet (St. Louis, MO) and also haven't decided whether to drive or fly. If we drive, tho, I would like to try to hit as many states between here and there as possible... CF30 Edited March 19, 2007 by Crowesfeat30 Quote Link to comment

We've been known to make the trip into a 12 excursion by stopping to cache! On a recent trip to Pennsylvania from NC, I made a nice PQ of caches along the route. The problem was that I wasn't driving..... and my mother-in-law and the rest of the family were not interested in visiting every rest stop along the route. So I was resigned to trying to spot the cache location from the car window as we zipped past it on the Interstate. Quote Link to comment

COOL! We love to come up to Charlotte for Speed Weeks! We have a good friend that lives in the area and they work for the NCDOT so we get to sit under the bleachers right on Turn 4 at all the races at LMS. But we will be breaking away from the NASCAR excitement for a weekend at GW5. Quote Link to comment

+islander1988
So... for people hitting town on Friday, what are you doing Friday night? Hitting caches, resting up for the big day after long travels, or are there any informal gatherings happening? Perhaps a little coin gathering the night before the main event would be less chaotic.
