Geocaching names based on places

Why? :)

Because we found our first cache on the Blorenge, near Abergavenny :)

Originally "he" registered as just "Blorenge" but then, in recognition of my devoted services to mapreading, we became The Blorenges :)

While in Dorset today I drove past here, and it set me wondering, who else has a caching name of a real place. I believe there's a Welsh mountain represented by a caching team name, and while there's a Paul in Cornwall, there's no Simply's anywhere, that I know of. So... Yes?

I intended to do this my naming myself after my favourite mountain in Scotland. However I didn't spell it right and ended up naming myself after the horse who won the 1967 Grand National at 100/1. He does have a fence named after him at Aintree so maybe that counts as a place!

Ah!

Rhyme Intrinsica, the original, fabled home of "The Yetties" I believe (rather than Yetminster) <_<<_<

If you're coming down to the New Forest you might like to call in here in Brokenhurst for a bite to eat. Now if you can talk them into opening similar south of Newlyn you'll have cracked it!

Afternote...

I think their server's just crashed! For those having problems with the link it's Simply Poussin restaurant in Brockenhurst!

The trick is to re-enter the forums via a link on the GC.com pages, rather than use a 'favourite pages' link. It's only by returning to the forum via its 'front door' after updating pic or text info that you'll see the updated version/s.
