  3. Hi I went a few weeks ago and managed half a dozen or so caches. The ones in the city center were difficult due to the high amount of muggle activity and the caches being micro.
  4. Update:- I tried with the help of Kevin - Chili-K to download and unzip the maps again but we still had no luck. So I decided just to download the PQ I'd created for Barcelona. When I searched for a cache I found it and the map was there, with the streets and street names and I could zoom down to 20 feet and map was still clear. So I don't know what happened but I have street level maps and caches with out downloaded maps and I can now going caching in Barcelona. The only problem I have now is I managed to delete my "National Parks Discovery map 1:50" from the SD card. Can any one help me to get it back if that's at all possible or have I got to go and buy them again :-( Thanks to all who gave advice about the first problem especially Chili-K and hopefully some one else can help me with the other problem :-) Kevin
  5. Thanks for the info however it doesn't seem to want to load on to the Oregon, zipped or unzipped. I've now just ordered the map tiles I need from the same web page but have to wait a couple of hours, I'm in a queue ~21 :-( I'll see if that works better.
  6. I've dragged the file into the Garmin folder like all the other files "Zipped Still" and it's showing just like the others but it doesn't appear in the list of maps on the Oregon
  7. Thanks for the prompt reply. I've been on to the web page, followed the instructions and saved the file " osm_routable_gmapsupp.zip 21-Jun-2011 08:54 165M Compressed file that contains a single image that can be placed directly onto the SD-card of the GPS. " to the desk top, do I then just c on to the map folder on the gps? Sorry bit of a novice at things like this :-)
  8. I had a quick search but couldn't find what I was looking for, so I need some help please. I'm off to Barcelona this weekend, 24th June and would like to find a map of the city to download on to my Garmin Oregon 550t, a free one would be great. I have the installed base map but this seems to be less than useless, it only gives the main road through the city. Thanks in advance Kevin
  9. Hi I've got a brand new unused Garmin Oregon 300 still in its box with everything if you're interested.
  10. Not sure if it's happening to any one else. When I sign into geocaching.com and my profile page I stay logged in for a few minutes then I get logged out and have to log in again. I know I'm not logging out so is GC.com doing it. I have ticked the box to say remember me. Can any one help please ??
  11. Hi I've got a 550t and on mine you have to go to:- SETUP MAP MAP INFO SELECT MAP and then enable the map you want yours must be something simular. If this doesn't help there is a Wiki site with all the info you need. http://garminoregon.wikispaces.com/
  12. Many thanks, it's been a long day and it helps if you read what's written and NOT what you think is written. Again many thanks, it work's perfectly :-)

  17. I, very luckily, got an Oregan 550t from Santa and find it brilliant to use. I haven't got the hang of all the whitles and bells yet but I'm getting there. There is a Wiki site dedicated to the Garmins Gps and answers all sorts of questions and gives detailed stages on how to do what. I've found it very usefull.
