+c88m Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 Well I'm wondering what type of gps everyone uses . I didn't see any topics on this so I figured I'd do a poll on this . I myself use Garmin GPS 12 and etrex Venture . I am looking at another Garmin model as well . Please just submit make and model or models if you own more than one . I will post my results here at a later date .
+MAG315 Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 I started out using a Magellan GPS 315 and now use a Magellan Meridan Yellow.
+wolves shepherd Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 Garmin Foretres 101. It's a lean, mean caching machine!
jeepntj Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 I replaced my Magellan 315 with a Garmin 76cs but I keep the 315 for a spare- it just keeps on running
Aushiker Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 G'day Garmin Geko 301. Would like to upgrade to a Garmin 60CS sometime down the track. Regards Andrew

+Ladycacher Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 I have a Garmin Legend, Garmin Etrex (yellow), and just bought a Magellan Meridan Yellow. I am also buying a Sony PDA to add to my family of GPS.
+W7WT Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 I use the iQue and cachemate to go paperless and as a backup if my 76C (primary GPS) and 76S (secondary GPS) quit functioning. Also use the iQue and 76C for routing. Dick, W7WT
+CoolBreeze2513 Posted January 16, 2005 Posted January 16, 2005 I use the Garmin GPS 12 XL that looks like my avatar

+IVxIV Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 My current GPSr is a Lowrance iFinder-Pro that replaced my Magellan 315, which I still have. Before that my previous (and first) GPSr was a Magellan 4000XL. I'm also using a Sony Clie SJ-33 PDA for paperless caching, with Cachemate software that I highly recommend!
+Limax Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 I use a Magellan 310 (Yes I know it's old and has less accuracy!! Why do you think I can't even find a 1/1 cache??)
+Beowulf83 Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 I had used a Magellan 315, but just got a Garmin eTrex Legend for Christmas. What I would REALLY like to see would be IR ports so that GPS units could beam data in much the same way as PDAs.
miki_dog Posted January 18, 2005 Posted January 18, 2005 Using a new Garmin foretrex 201 for caching. This replaces my dead Garmin gps45 (permanitaly lost it's way!). On the boat, I use a Garmin GPSMAP175.
cuff&stuff Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 magellan sportrac map w/mapsend topo. love it!
eggman7360 Posted January 23, 2005 Posted January 23, 2005 G'day Garmin Geko 301. Would like to upgrade to a Garmin 60CS sometime down the track. Regards Andrew I use the Garmin gps map76s but am thinking of "downgrading" to this geko for portability. Not sure if Ill keep the 76s as spare or "upgrade" it.
