+Renegade Knight Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 I'm sorry but I couldn't let the recent spate of anti-caches stand without my own protest cache. Here it is: No Cache, No Logs, No Finds. Just nothing. Bite me. Flame away. I don't care. Quote
+Team Tigger International Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 We didn't look for it and found it so how do we not log a find? Wulf Quote
+Navdog Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Finally!!! The worlds first true virtual cache. Quote
+Team Perks Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Okay, I give up. I've been there three times. Can you give me a hint? Quote
+reepicheep Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Okay, I give up. I've been there three times. Can you give me a hint? You found it!! Passed right through it since it was a ghost. There is no hint. Kenneth Quote
tubby and Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 i think i may have seen it. i was in the right area and my coordinates were right so i'm just going to log this one as a find, ok? Quote
+The Blind Acorn Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 I thought that guy's post was a bit over the top. I mean if someone wants to subscribe that's their perogative (spelling?) None the less, I subscribe for the PDA downloads/PQ's etc, not necessarily members only caches. Also, I have MOC so that the locals who I know have first shot at them. Plus I have one that is in a good spot and I don't want aimless, newbies wandering around and drawing attention to it. Quote
+FamilyBean Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 I don't want aimless, newbies wandering around and drawing attention to it. OOps...tries to hide shovel and signposts behind back... Quote
+Morgan's Marauders Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 At first I thought this was one of those lame Walmart parking lot caches. I looked by the railroad tracks and couldn't find it. The hint's way too long to decrypt! I think this is a lousy cache, but I saw the cache page so I'm logging it as a find. TNLNCCL (Took nothing, left nothing, could care less) Quote
+Uniacke Raiders Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 (edited) You guys watched "The Matrix" last night didn't you? I did & my mind is still scrambled Edited January 12, 2005 by Uniacke Raiders Quote
+AtoZ Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Well I found it and if you don't believe me then just look in the logbook. cheers Quote
+wimseyguy Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 I don't believe in ghosts. Guess I can't go look for this one.... Quote
CoyoteRed Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 I don't believe in ghosts either, but I like a good ghost story! OoooOOo...! Quote

+Byron & Anne Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 (edited) I tried to lock this thread but that button seems to be missing now. OH OH!! Now we've made the ghosts mad and they are stealing web page buttons. Edited January 12, 2005 by Byron & Anne Quote
+fly46 Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Dang it, RK.. Got some of that ghost water on me from trying to sign that invisible log book. Hope you can see my signature on there... It's in invisible ink... Took Everything, left nothing. Quote
+BigHank Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 My current corporeal condition precludes my attempting this cache, so I will just log a note until the condition changes for me and the cache becomes accessible. Hank Quote

+RichardMoore Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 I found it, but according to my GPSr your coordinates were off so I moved it. Quote
+The Jester Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 I don't like Ghost caches and think they should be banned! Do it MY way! My ghost cache wasn't approved, but his was, so I want mine approved right now! Do it MY way! GC.com is now supporting ghost believers, so I want my bogeyman supported by the site! Do it MY way! I think the discussion should... Heck, just DO IT MY WAY! Quote
+The Jester Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 (edited) Edit to remove duplicate post Edited January 12, 2005 by The Jester Quote
+carleenp Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 (edited) Who didn't approve this cache anyway and what were they not thinking?????!!!!! Edited January 12, 2005 by carleenp Quote
+Scout65 Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Can we at least get a difficulty and terrain rating for this cache? Seriously though, it seems that a lot of people have lost sight of what this hobby is all about (yes, I know I can only speak for myself). For me it's a tool to get outdoors and to venture to places that I would have never had a reason to visit if it weren't for someone placing a cache there. My GPS or GPSr or whatever you want to call it has lead me to some very interesting and scenic locations. It's very comical to read some of these threads and see what kinds of trivial things people will get all worked up over. Quote
+Runaround Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 I tried to submit a ghost cache of my own but it was rejected because it was less than 500' away from this one. Quote
uperdooper Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 i finally found it after richard moved it. i didn't like where he hid it so i moved it again. Quote
+wimseyguy Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 For me it's a tool to get outdoors and to venture to places that I would have never had a reason to visit if it weren't for someone placing a cache there. My GPS or GPSr or whatever you want to call it has lead me to some very interesting and scenic locations. Me too. I first started geocaching while looking for lost golf balls. Some guy that goes by 'trippy1976' on the internet was selling these golf balls with GPS transmitters . I've got a wicked slice off the tee, so I bought a few, and a GPSr to track them with. Wouldn't you know, I was having more fun looking for the lost golf balls in the woods than I was playing golf, and I became a full fledged geo-addict. Well, that's my story and I'm sticking to it. +BadAndy Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Found with the aid of my bilevel frigitor detector. Took angst filled soul, left garlic clove. Quote
+the hermit crabs Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 Finally found it after ignoring explicit cache page instructions to not cross the streams with our proton guns. Next searchers should watch their step; there are gobs of green ecto-plasm all over the ground now. Sorry 'bout that. Quote
+GrizzlyJohn Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 I tried to lock this thread but that button seems to be missing now. Muggled. Quote
+Limax Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 I tried for days to find it, and was only able to after I removed the batteries from my GPS. Quote

Just nothing. Bite me. Flame away. I don't care. Before we see this kind of anti-cache get out of control and take over Nashville, let me be the first to suggest that there should be a rule banning this kind of cache. Quote
+Two Geeks and a GPS Posted January 12, 2005 Posted January 12, 2005 How come my cache asking for donations to the "Association for the Advancement of Ghost Caches" (AAGC) was not approved!? Quote
+Isonzo Karst Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 I had no plans whatsoever to do this cache, but when I saw that Bad Andy had left a garlic clove in it, I had to rush out and find the cache and remove the garlic. NEVER PUT FOOD IN CACHES! Sheeesh, you'd think that would be obvious. I think I put it back where RK originally intended - coords not that good, but there's green slime everywhere so the original hide has been hosed. Quote
+Sputnik 57 Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 I do believe in spooks. I do believe in spooks. I do, I do, I do, I do, I do. Quote
Azaruk Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Would the people who covered the cache site in green slime, kindly return and clean it up properly. The reflection caused by the green stuff is causing our instruments to malfunction and we can no longer monitor the activities of geocachers attempting to find ghost caches, and our cache-approval-blaster-discombobulator is incapable of blocking attempts to get AAGC caches approved. Signed International Astronauts Committee Location: International Space Station PS It's really spooky up here! Quote
+the hermit crabs Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Would the people who covered the cache site in green slime, kindly return and clean it up properly. Well , okay, but if we're going out there again we're going to log it as a second smiley. Quote
+cache_test_dummies Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Dang! I think I dropped my cell phone near the cache site (and I DNF'd besides). If somebody finds my cell, can you please call me and let me know? My cell phone number is in the cell phone. Quote
Azaruk Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Well , okay, but if we're going out there again we're going to log it as a second smiley. Second smiley is totally acceptable. But only if it is green in colour and looks really, really scared. Quote
+the hermit crabs Posted January 13, 2005 Posted January 13, 2005 Found the cell phone on our return trip to clean up the slime. Now we're wondering "who ya gonna call?" Quote
