  1. It may be wrong, but I love it! That's wrong and disgusting, I don't know how someone could "love it!"? That. Is. Flippin. HILARIOUS! It's funny because her pelvis is broke. ha ha (sorry, sarcastic day today, It's actually funny because it is obvious that she is in absolutely no discomfort whatsoever)
  2. The problem with cleaning out "obvious junk" becomes clear when you are FTF on a cache and it is full of "obvious junk". Once, and only once (not my finest moment) a left a post on one in this category that said, "You might want to restock this one, the trade items are getting a little bit depleted." After I left I realized that maybe the person had put in what they could afford at the time. Wait a second. I'm a real jerk. I'm gonna go wash my mouth out with soap!
  3. I also like to only rely on the GPSr to get me into the area. Then I like to rely on my ability to see the foot and a half square pile of parallel sticks.
  4. I realize that this one might get moved. I Markwelled this one but I can't find anything referring to the ability to reset the mileage on a TB further than deleting all of the logs. Is it possible?
  5. ...I too took the "hard" way... ...The cache co-ords are bang-on... ...This would be the most difficult to access cache to date for me (I enjoy a challenge!)... ...Thanks for the great cache!... ... from the top "escalator" trail I have marked an easier entrance into the valley with YELLOW flagging tape. Follow the cut in the rocks down to the slide path and you will have a better time accessing the cache... These quotes are all from one log on one of my caches. "We have no complaints, and we like a challenge, but we made it easier for everyone that will come after." I don't get it. Anyone else have logs like this that they just don't get?
  6. If you've got a Garmin; Find, City, Nearest, will give you the Garmites idea of the center of your town.
  7. How about 'Daily Grind' or 'Protect your Stones' or just 'Grist'
  8. Lumber mill, pulp mill, wool mill, grain mill, gin mill, cotton mill? Which is it first of all?
  9. I'd like to re-offer my suggestion. How hard would it be to make the "Do Not Keep Me" red instead of black. It would draw attention to it and would clearly make it a warning.
  10. Call me obtuse, but I haven't been able to figure out what indicates which topics have new posts since I signed on last. What is the equivalent under the new format of the dimmed icons in the old format?
  11. Is there any way to get rid of all the pictures that are reposts? The quotations that duplicated pictures are making this thread three times more cumbersome than it has to be. At least in the future, not reposting pictures might help. I love this thread!!
  12. I used to do all of my finds without a GPS. Most caches are way too easy with one. These days I bring it with me, in case I can't find it on my own. I feel like I kind of let go of my roots (when I was caching i Europe, too hard to find and print off maps) but I'm finding my way back!! The term I coined a couple years back for caching without a GPS is "TradCaching". Some people think that caching with a GPS would be TradCaching, but I think that that would be called TradGeocaching. Caching, and finding has been going on long before there was GEO. Treasure Island has caching without the geo, among others. I love caching with a map and compass. Its amazing how you can be as precise or sometimes even moreso with a compass as with a GPS when you're out in the boonies. Keep on Tradcaching. Don't be lured by the machine. It can take some of the satisfaction out of finding a hard one. Even a lamp-post micro can be an adventure when you have your eyes up rather than looking at the arrow. I guess that I am now a Hybrid-Cacher.
  13. The last thing a took was some old, boring gold pocket watch. The last thing a left was a sweet striped golf ball.

    Smiley Help

I posted this in getting started and then I realized that this might be a better place to post. 1-i just logged a cache. The finds count was the same before as after the log. i counted my found-its and the are the same as the find count. Is there any way to find out if a cache owner has recently deleted a find without mentioning it to me? What is going on here? 2-The new log is already on the list. The list number matches the stats banner. They are just both one less than they should be, but i don't have my finds list memorized so i can't tell if any are missing. Weird. Is this even possible or did i just misremember my finds? Thanks for any help.
  15. bump. Still haven't figured out this mystery.
  16. Canadians always complete hard explorations
  17. caching in darkness treasure will be brought to light seek and you shall find

  19. But why does the count match my list? Could a cache owner have deleted my log without some record of it somewhere?

  21. The proof is in the anagram: Geocaching=Gang Choice
  22. headlamp, patience, wagon wheels My favorite find is an FTF on a camouflaged micro at four in the morning with a wicked FTF prize. Night caching rocks!!!
