+sept1c_tank Posted March 18, 2004 Posted March 18, 2004 Go to your "My Cache Page. Thanks, Jeremy! Quote
uperdooper Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 holy carp!! too kewl. thanks to the frog. Quote
+woof n lulu Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 Way to Go !!!!!!!!!! It was so unexpected, I thought I had logged into another site....LOL Quote
+Prime Suspect Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 Nice. Looks good. Only complaint (if you can call it that) - the Quick View page and the Geocache page are nearly identical. Each has a few links that aren't on the other. I'd rather see them combined into one page. And I'm on a broadband connection, so it doesn't bother me that the full text for 15 logs shows up. But dial-up members may not feel the same. Personally, I'd rather just have the log info without the actual log text. As long as their are links to get to the log, that's fine with me. On the yea! side - we can now see which entries in our watchlist have been archived! Very nice. This will make cleaning up the watchlist much easier. Quote
+wray_clan Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 Shinkes, that's really neat! Thanks, Jeremy & co! Quote
Tahosa and Sons Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 (edited) Its different thats for sure, I do miss the complete list of my caches which was handy when I went to them to look up something. Now how do I see what my archived caches are or were. OOPS - I found them, now to get used to the page. It seems much more concise and focused. Thanks, it must of been the green beer they had yesterday to come up with this new idea. Edited March 19, 2004 by Tahosa and Sons Quote
+BeachBuddies Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 The new TB pages are pretty cool too. Looks like it will be much easier to keep track of your bugs. Quote
+sept1c_tank Posted March 19, 2004 Author Posted March 19, 2004 I like it. Just one thing, though. It would be perfect if at the bottom of "My logs this month," there was a link to all of my logs, notes, DNFs, etc. That feature on the old page was something I referred to frequently. Quote
+Snoogans Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII LIKE IT!! I was getting sick of scrolling past 200 tb finds. Sn gans Quote
+Lazyboy & Mitey Mite Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 I agree, nice not to see all those TB's. Although I don't have 200. Looks great. Quote
+The "B" Team Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 Great job well worth the price of admision Quote
+team trapper Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 I don't like IT. NOT ONE OUNCE!! FURTHER MORE I DON'T LIKE NOT HAVEING CHOICES. I WANT MY CACHE PAGE BACK NOW!!! RIGHT NOW!!!!!!! THIS IS NOT COOL AND I'M NOT GOING TO LET IT REST!! EITHER THAT OR I'LL HAVE TO QUIT. AND OH MY GOD I DON'T WANT THAT . BUT THAT IS HOW MUCH I DON'T LIKE THE NEW MY CACHE PAGE. IT SUCKS! sorry is sucks is not an oppriate word. but it ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh sucks! Quote
Keystone Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 It's fine to use this topic for high-fives, kudos, celebrating and (in the case of the immediately preceding log), wrestling with deep seated issues about change management. But, if you have a specific suggestion for improving the new design of "My Cache Page," or if you need to report a bug, please post over in This Topic in the Geocaching.com Forum so that Jeremy will be sure to see it. Thanks! Quote
+Turtle3863 Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 The only thing that I would like to see on the new page that was on the old is the link that used to have your state and listed the lastest caches in your state, other than that it's great . Quote
+greengecko Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 OK, somebody has to say it… The calendar is nice, the “My Inventory” is useful and the “Report a new cache” is a good feature. But why post the complete text of all of my logs? That’s such a waste, I know what I said. I would much rather have the title bars for each of “My Geocacheing Logs”, “My Watchlist”, “My Benchmark” and “My Travel Bugs” all on a single page linked to the details if I chose to view them. Quote
+yumitori Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 I don't like IT. NOT ONE OUNCE!! Did you miss this link on the Quickview Page? My Account Details The old "my cache page" can be found here. Quote
+team trapper Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 yes their is a link to the old page. The new on is way to messy looking. i don't need to look at all the logs i have writen (so stupid) If their are some usefull things i wont find them cause I cant stand the way it looks with all that stuff up their. I have a caclender on my wall and on my homepage( what a bad idea) Quote

+The Blind Acorn Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 not sure about the new set up yet. about fell out of my chair when it came up. will take a few days to get used to it. Quote
+El Diablo Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 I like it! The inventory list makes me look bad however. I have a TB I recovered for the owner Hawk-eye and have been holding it for him as per his instructions. Makes me look like I'm one of those that sits on TBs. El Diablo Quote
+programmer64 Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 Kudos to Jeremy, all complaints have been covered so I have none. Redundancy is redundant. Quote
+Bloencustoms Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 I like it. The calendar is a nice feature, as is the expiration date for your membership. That will make it easier to remeber. The "member features" link shows you some tantalizing upcoming features. I particularly like the instant email notifications for new caches. Great job! Quote
SBPhishy Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 Ah... nevermind. I just found the best feature on the new page. "The old "my cache page" can be found here." Thanks!! Hahah... It's alright overall. I'm glad we can finally search for a members, without having to run thru cache logs. The instant email is VERY cool. I must be stupid but WHERE IS A LIST OF MY PLACED CACHES? Quote
+mtn-man Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 I must be stupid but WHERE IS A LIST OF MY PLACED CACHES? Just will take some getting used to it. Click on "Geocaches" link at the top and there is a link on the top right. Either that or go back to the "Quickview" page and look at the old version of the my cache page. Quote
+wildearth2001 Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 I like what I have seen so far, I think it just needs a little work to make it look nicer now, it is pretty drab, but I like the layout and all the changes. Thanks Jeremy!! Quote
+SERG312 Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 Looks good to me. Took me by surprise when I first logged on. Figures it would change, I was just getting so comfortable with the old one. Great Job Admin. Quote
SBPhishy Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 Thanks mtn-man! I like it overall. It will definitely take some getting used to though. Quote

gutwrench Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 On first look I don't like the new "my cache" page. One thing I used a lot was getting a look at caches I have placed. I could quickly tell if one had been visited recently and if a month went by I could check it out to make sure all was well. Is there a way to get to the "My hidden caches" page (where it shows how long it's been since a find at a glance)? You know... how many days since it's last log? Gutwrench Quote
+captnemo Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 Cool new page! Now I have a choice Old or New, New or Old, Old or New................. Now I have to chose! Old or New, New or Old, Old or New.............. Quote

With a few days of getting used to I am sure I will like the new setup A LOT! You're right. The top 5 logs on the list were just 1-line notes, so at a glance it didn't look any different from the other page. I still would rather not have the log text on any of the pages. If I need to know a specific log's text, I can just click on it. Quote
+briansnat Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 (edited) The only thing I don't care for is there is no buttton to view all your logs on one page. I don't like having to page through them to find a specific cache. Other than that, it looks great!!!! Edited March 19, 2004 by briansnat Quote

About your concern for dial up users, it might take that page a few extra seconds to load but it is better than them having to toggle thoruhg a bunch of pages to get to what they want Quote
+Cat-in-the-hat Posted March 19, 2004 Posted March 19, 2004 Sorry, but I don’t like it. Please give me my old page back or at least give us the option of which one to use. At the very least I hope the “Old Page” option will not go away. I have no use for a calendar on the page. Change happens, but it is not always good. Quote
