  1. This is still not working still getting the junk message, is anyone going to fix this problem?
  2. Yup getting the same JUNK error here, and no geocaches
  3. Ok to jump on the boat here, how many of you are database programmers? I am I design maintain and program databases, and to quite honest doing what you are all asking isn't as easy as just flipping some switch. It requires many hours of developing code that will work with the existing code, more hours of testing, more coding and testing. I agree that all sorting should be done in the same order, however there are many more important coding issues as brought up by several other posts. Use GSAK its free and keep your own database, what difference does it make what order the website keeps the caches in anyway?
  4. Me of course, good looking, funny and a true cacher if ever there was one. We are in negotiations as I post.
  5. I dont know I personally could not give a rats but hair about any travel bug enough to run out to a cache just to get a bug, but having moved over 200 bugs I am bored with them, especially since most of my bugs and coins have disappeared. If a bug tickles me fancy when I find it in a cache I'll grab but otherwise who cares. One of my caches has about 200 coins logged into it, but they aint there they are in my coin book where they can be viewed admired and not disappear.
  6. The absolute cure that would work-- not an overall this cache is icky this cache rocks system just a this cache rocks function. when you log a cache have an option for adding a 5 star rating, when you click it there would be a small multiple choice area with 4 or 5 reasons why and the results could render on the pages just like finds, dnfs, and notes do. this way when when we go to a page if it has 50 5 stars, then a breakdown of the reasons. 1) Great hike with a quality cache 2)Great family,Kid friendly cache 3) easy c&d 4)Scenery, beauty 5)Historical signifigance Or anything we as a community think would work. I put alot of thought into this, I have cached with many people and definitely see people like different caches for different reasons. This way no cache gets a bad rating just a way for people to see what others thought w/o having to read 200 logs.

  9. needing bumpage, you really do need to see this coin. The picture does NOT do it justice, it is one of the nicest coins produced as of late. It will be available at local events including Muddy Run 2007 and the Cache across Maryland events next weekend, so come on out and seeit in person!

  12. Everytime I open Google earth it tells me my Geocaching KML file is expired. I delete it and re download it and still get the same message. Can anyone tell me why? this has only been the last month or so.
  13. how many times must this dead horse be beaten into the ground? This one is deader than Barbaro, I really wish I did not have to read the same lame plea to bring them back every time I visit the forums. NO VIRTUALS ON GC.COM Enjoy the grandfathered ones. Perhaps if people had not tried to make every lame stupid thing in the world a virt they'd still be around.
  14. Delaware C.A.C.H.E This challenge involves finding 24 caches around the state of Delaware, all with some historical, or geological significance to the state. To attend the actual event you must find all 24 caches and record info contained in the caches to help decode the actual event coordinates. It should be alot of fun and everyone is invited to participate.

  16. Running a PQ and loading the GPX file into google earth is quicker and easier.
  17. We had a similar cache in south Jersey, a muggle stumbled upon it and thought it was a bomb. There was a big stink, the bomb squad was called and "BOOOOMMM"
  18. I have an idea lets start a forum catagory for beating dead horses and this can be the first topic. Webcam caches where cool, sorta depending on where they were. But they are gone from this site just the same as VIRTS and locationless. you people fail to realize that those catagories ate up alot of bandwith that clogs up the servers and causes that irritating server too busy message we get. Then there are hundreds of posts about the same old stuff over and over again. let it alone they are gone from here, and it has been made clear they are not returning so stop whining like little girls and move on, or start your own caching site and you list anything you want. noone is breaking your arm to pay for a membership to this site, if you don't like the menu, dine somewhere else. Would you go to a mexican restraunt and whine because they did not have lasagna? I doubt it. I think the bandwith thing I said above should be adaquete explanation, and no I do not work for Groundspeak, I run, host and maintain numerous websites and YOU probably have no idea of the amount of work that goesa into it. the more detail oriented the site the more chance for something to go wrong and people like you to cry about it. GO START YOUR OWN SITE with one stop shopping, then come back here in 2 years after you have 100,000 members and let's see your opnion. <edited by moderator, please don't make the moderators cranky>
  19. Have you posted this on ebay yet? If not email me RBleattler at comcast.net
  20. 59 caches placed, 48 active. Furthest cache from my home 150 miles. No problem here, sometimes it'll take a few days to get to a cache for maint, but I manage.
  21. don't buy coins that make make a profit off other peoples suffering, nor ones that have NOTHING to do with geocaching
