markandlynn Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 Emailed ours now. not as many caches but loads of TB's (two week gap in August) would realy like to get into the top 20 this month though, what about giving us points for our DNF.s May have to start trigpointing as they are really big easy to find and still get you 10 points. Its the thought of filling in more logs that puts me off though.
+Pengy&Tigger Posted September 8, 2004 Posted September 8, 2004 (edited) May have to start trigpointing as they are really big easy to find and still get you 10 points. Not necessarily. Pillars may be easy to spot, but just try finding rivets and bolts etc. A metal detector would come in handy here. T Edited September 8, 2004 by Pengy&Tigger

+Chips 'n' Ham Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 Cheers Deego for the table. Congrats to Pengy & Tigger I think this will be the closest we'll be to the top until next summer! It's mid September and we've not cached since August

Pillars may be easy to spot, but just try finding rivets and bolts etc. A metal detector would come in handy here. T After tonight's little escapade on the way back from Wales (are you listening Cave Troll, Joan and John Stead?), I would like add the following equipment to the items that come in handy: A Laptop (to get online and find out what kind of trig you are actually looking for) Several torches At least one trowel or other digging implement One curious local, offering their services (and metal detector) to help find the thing you appear to have lost T

+Pengy&Tigger Posted September 18, 2004 Posted September 18, 2004 I think you need to add a JCB excavator to that list I think 'Other digging implement' may cover that, Can you imagine what kind of damage Mark and John could have done with one of those considering what it looked like after they had finished with the trowel? In case evryone is wondering, no, we didn't find it. T

+Kitty Hawk Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 Ah heck, I'm not there, I must have done something wrong with the e-mail - I blame the computer, but I would have been 51st. I'm doing a little better so far this month

+aRRKS Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 August Table is now done WOW 4th - that's higher than I thought we would be. Should have put money on Pengy & Tigger Thanks again Brian
+John Stead Posted September 19, 2004 Posted September 19, 2004 Its on the corner of the drain set in the concrete (If i remember correct) I would have thought by the way we scraped round that corner we might have removed the stud/rivet or whatever. Maybe in daylight it is easy to see - BUT!
+Papakas Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 Well done Pengy & Tigger, just reward for all the effort you've put in devising and placing your excellent series of caches and you still managed to clock up over 100 finds!
+Kitty Hawk Posted September 20, 2004 Posted September 20, 2004 How did you send it?? to my address or via Gocaching .com ?? Don't remember, but I'll double check it this month, I have a suspicion it was from the prompt on GCUK. I've never had much luck using e-mails that don't use the e-mail that comes with my ISP or work so perhaps there's something about this procedure that I don't know, or maybe a little bit of functionality from my computer is broken. Not to worry
+The Rouses Posted September 22, 2004 Posted September 22, 2004 Woo hoo! We're not last in August! 51st out of 58! That's a record for us...won't happen again for a while...
+Simply Paul Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 Thanks Deego! 11th is my best ever position. I had no idea I'd placed that many caches in August. I really must get out less SP
+Seasider Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 Congrats to the Lancashire Lasses!! The title comes back to Lancashire! Seasider
+JackieC Posted September 23, 2004 Posted September 23, 2004 Woo hoo! We're not last in August! 51st out of 58! That's a record for us...won't happen again for a while... Nope, that's my honour for August!! Last and proud of it (why, I don't know!!!) JackieC
+The Hokesters Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 Sent in Septembers! Woah! a grand total of three finds. That won't break the bank. Mind you one was in Portugal - Extra Points? The Hokesters... P.S. No TB's either!!!
+Cave Troll and Eeyore Posted October 1, 2004 Posted October 1, 2004 (edited) Our results for September are on the way Another average month for us but I think if the rain keeps up October could be a wash out. Edited to add First to enter with only one find (way back in February) and proud of it Edited October 1, 2004 by Cave Troll & Joan
Deego Posted October 4, 2004 Author Posted October 4, 2004 Yep as CT&J says only one find is all you need .
+Team Maddie UK Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 Septembers stats sent in..average month for us
+harrogate hunters Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 I think I will give in !!!! Came 25th Last month, this month with only 6 finds I think I will be 55th ! Come on October.... I have done 11 already !

+harold1066 Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 I forget about las month :DOH!: lucky to wasn't a good month September`s sent Cheers George
+rutson Posted October 4, 2004 Posted October 4, 2004 September's sent, not a good month at all, very little caching time. Already have more than double points for October.
+lizzardman Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 September's sent - not as good as last month, but they're going to be a lot better than October I think, as no time and the night's are drawing in! What I need is a holiday....
markandlynn Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 Ours are sent poor month again. Seem to of got stuck in the 80's but we have a plan
+Simply Paul Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 E-mailed mine over too Brian - I hope you got them ok. Not a great month (only set three but did a fair bit of maintenance) and I didn't have my frenzied struggle to reach 200 as I did in August. I don't think I'll hit the dizzy heights of 11th place again for a while. Unless I place that tricky power-trail I've been thinking about... SP
+Mad H@ter Posted October 5, 2004 Posted October 5, 2004 (edited) Unless I place that tricky power-trail I've been thinking about... SP Sounds interesting, we look forward to this one Edited October 5, 2004 by Phillimore Clan
