Inasmuch as the original message (the basis for these comments) in this thread was edited, it's difficult to recognize the relevance of the comments. May as well just delete previous comments to avoid appearing OT. :rolleyes:

I've gotten more laughs in these forums in the 2 months since I started posting than from all the forwarded mail I've ever gotten. Besides that what if there were a serious topic where you need help with something but you filtered out the one cacher who could truly help with your dilema. (although I don't really see that happening) Well that's my 2 cents not that it's really worth 2 cents.

As far as blocking, or filtering, I don't find them to be particularly useful because the rest of the posts in a thread won't make any sense if the OP is blocked.

To wit: Try reading slashdot with a filter set at 2 or higher. Its like listening to a cell phone that is cutting out.

 

BTW: Hope I am not on his hate list! :rolleyes:

That is, of course, assuming that I have a playground. Some place were I go to have fun that is neither abjectly silly or on-topic. Also assuming that I don't act all serious and proper as Clearpath expects and all...did that cat ever dry off or what? I think I'll go check

Well, I hate to take the wind out of the sails a bit but this one is drifting way off into the sunset. If we can bring it back to the topic instead of just having another AS topic it can continue sailing. If not, it may be time to close the topic.

 

These forums are meant to be a fun place for cachers to gather and chat about our favorite fun hobby. If someone wants to post a lot because they have a lot to bring to the table then so be it. There are a lot of people who bring good advice and opinions in here and that is what makes this forum so great.

I’d rather see some humor mixed with the fact and opinion than three pages of pontification. I scroll past those pretty fast, it seems that some people feel that more words will make others agree. Most, not all, of the time they say less and less the more they write.
