+The Forester
It's still November folks That means it's been Christmas now for at least five months. My local garden centre starts its display of Crimbo junk in July and last year the first signs of Christmas consumer madness I saw was in the second week of May! Christmas has been completely debased and devalued by its commercialisation and has spread into too many months of the year. I was brought up to believe that there are 12 days of Christmas. Nowadays by the the third day of Christmas everyone's forgotten Christmas and are too busy trampling eachother at the 'January' sales. By the time 12th night has come around most people have packed away their Xmas decorations and Crimbo is just a memory and an ugly credit card statement until next autumn when the whole "Christmas" cycle starts over again. I've put up my new Crimbo avatar as a statement about rampant consumerism. Now I think I'll go and feed my neighbour's goose which she's promised me for December the 24th:P Cheers and Happy Easter, The Forester Quote Link to comment
