+RocketMan
Ok Picture People, I have a 10 year-old son that just raked in some cash selling his Thomas the Train collection on ebay. (With dad's help of course!) He decided he wants to become a photographer, and has about $200.00 to spend. Does anybody have any input on what would be a good digital camera in this price range? (Silly question, I know you all have an opinion, but would you mind sharing it?) Definately the A610. It is similar to the A520 but with superior image quality and more manual controls available. An excellent first camera for a beginner witha lot of room to learn enough to be ready later if you want to move into something like a DSLR. It has an excellent automatic exposure mode, too. Click here for example images taken with my A610. I like this one Jeff (Stillhaveing problems with the new forums!) Here is the pic that you posted the link to (To post the picture, just click on the little image button with the tree on it and paste in the URL for your image): Edited March 28, 2006 by RocketMan Quote Link to comment

+RocketMan
*** This Just In *** - Trailgators, Ruscal and I spent the day geocaching with the infamous geobabes on their Wednesday geocaching assault. We had planned to do the caches in Casper Park at the West end of route 74, but the trails were closed, so we ended up doing a bunch of caches near San Juan Capistrano. There is a great hike there with a bunch of caches along the ridge just West of I5. PS Dude my DCR (daily cache ratio) is down...when are we going caching next? Glad to hear about not having logs. I was almost out there hiking on those trails today for the 2 caches I need to find. I had to take one of my cats to the emergency room though and had to put off caching for another day. I am usually available to cache every weekend and nights on Tuesday and Thursday (but only from about 6-10 at the moment) since Rouge has classes those nights. Within a few weeks I should also be taking a day off work almost every 2 weeks due to too much vacation time. I don't know if I could do any more runs till 4 am though (felt the last one for a few days afterwords). Quote Link to comment
