Add to Calendar Link Missing

Up until recently, there was a link on event pages to add the details to your personal calendar (such as Google). However checking today on a new event the link appears to be absent.

In fact if you inspect element, it appears that the div is still there but it's empty.

I tried separate browsers, different devices, & different networks just to make sure it wasn't something on my end blocking the content but that doesn't appear to be the case.

I called your Event page and the calendar link is showing and working.

Hi Hans,

can you provide information on which browser, settings etc. you had the links working? I checked on Edge, FIrefox and Chrome in German and English language setting and didn't see the calendar links either.

Thanks,

Sven // Travel & Cache

Here you are: Windows 10 Home Build: 19043.1348; Firefox 94.0.2 (64-Bit); NO scripts (gclh; c:geo; etc. pp.) running.

Thanks! Mine: Windows 10, same build, same Firefox version, all scripts disabled. Result: see below. I have no idea why you see the calendar links and I/we don't.

Thanks for the report.

After some internal testing the link initially still showed for some but not for others. After some hard refreshes, it is now consistently missing.

We will ping the engineers. Please understand that this may take a while to get fixed due to the overall impact/ priority (there are workarounds).

Thank, I'm glad to hear it wasn't an intentional removal. It's so much easier with the link.

Logged in to see if this was something I did wrong with a script or something.  I really enjoy this feature, I use it for every event, would love to have it back.

Thanks!

I’ve noticed this for a while now, saw the problem was acknowledged but still waiting for a fix. Using chrome on Catalina. Please fix! It was a very convenient way to add events to Google calendar!

Please fix!  I have my geocaching calendar set up so that my non caching family can see it as well as me.  It's nice to be able to throw the events I'm interested in on my calendar so my family remembers what's coming up in the geocaching realm.

Yah! Bring Back th'LINK! Bring Back th'LINK! Bring Back th'Link!

And if you could get it so it populates onboard Outlook client calendars, too, that would be nice 😎

I'm just chiming in so that Groundspeak will pay their Outlook/Google, etc bills and get the calendar up and running again.

WE REALLY NEED THIS FEATURE.

Well, at least I sure do.

This was picked up in a current Engineering sprint. So you should see a fix within the next 2 weeks.

Yay!!! You made my day. I miss it terribly.

I just noticed this too when I went to 'Will Attend'. Normally, I'd use the 'add to calendar'. Waiting for its return. I do wish the developers would stop breaking stuff.
