Band of Bradys Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Oooh, while at was at Coincodes, looking to see if I could get the code for my replacement United Geocachers Paperless Caching coin (couldn't ), I saw the Icon for the Chesapeake Pirate coin!!! Looks like those are loaded and ready to go, so hopefully the coin will be on sale soon Quote
derschlings Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 OOOHHHH LAAAAH LAAAAH These beauties are one of the most incredible coins I have seen. As usual, the photos don't begin to do them justice. Taking one to China in the morning to begin its travels of the 7 seas... Quote
derschlings Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Did these make an appearance yet on C&Ps? I've not found them yet there... I keep going back checking as I've not been getting any emails from C&P about listing of new coins. The one I am holding is on its way to China & is one of JRay8's own activated coins that I volunteered to take back to its "birthplace" . Trust me this coin is sooo good looking if there is ANY notice given of its arrival at C&P, their server will be guaranteed to be crashed... that or the coins will sell out in a heartbeat. (unless a thousand are on order) I'd keep checking... I thought they were going to be there soon. Quote
fairyhoney Posted August 3, 2007 Posted August 3, 2007 Nice, Very nice! The pink is kinda cool!!! Quote
jray8 Posted August 3, 2007 Author Posted August 3, 2007 (edited) Nice, Very nice! The pink is kinda cool!!! its not pink. its tranparent red. the metal is textured under the paint and makes it kinda sparkle. this coin is also a full 2 inches across. it really does look great. the pictures do it little justice. i still have some to trade. mostly in bronze. shoot me an email if you have something to trade. +AtlantaGal Posted August 5, 2007 Posted August 5, 2007 I may have missed it in this thread somewhere, but how many of these will C&P be selling? Quote
tom4props Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 (edited) Arrrgh!! .. I ordered mine in the Polished Gold, but C&P also had 'em in the Antique Silver at the time I staked me claim (about 2 hours ago). Sounds like the Coppers may be long gone, but if not, I'd love to make a trade. Edited August 6, 2007 by tom4props Quote
tsunrisebey Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 I picked up a couple today, the samples looked beautiful.... Quote
CachingCoins Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 I have the same question AG asked. Does anyone know what C&P put up for sale? What metals & how many? When I got on at about 9pm EDT all they had were Antique silver. I'd like to find out what I missed out on. Thanks! Quote
Band of Bradys Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 There were four finishes that I saw, the gold, the antique silver, the bronze, and the copper. The copper sold out first, then the bronze, then the gold. Quote
ThirstyMick Posted August 6, 2007 Posted August 6, 2007 looks like i got home JUST in time away from the email all weekend, i had no idea today was the day; ordered mine and now they're all gone Quote

The Klever Boys Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Beautiful coins - my "gold" one sure looks like bronze though! Quote
Sunrayers Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 I ordered 3- Gold and 1-Bronze and when I lay them side by side I either got 3 Gold or 3 Bronze. E-mailed C+P to no avail! Oh Well, at least I didn't get skunked like usual Quote
Band of Bradys Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Beautiful coins - my "gold" one sure looks like bronze though! You might be right I ordered a "Shiny Gold" and a "Poppy Coin" first, when they went on sale at Coins and Pins. About twenty minutes later, I went back and ordered two coin holders and a Bronze and a Silver Chesapeake Pirate coin. After I got my two seperate packages, I opened the one with the Poppy coin. I assumed the Pirate coin was the gold one. Today I got the two other Pirate coins out of the package with the stands, and the "bronze" one is very shiny. I'm glad I waited and didn't activate the first one I got out. The shiny gold one is the one that I'm for sure keeping. But the shiny one was in the package with the silver one I ordered. So, I wonder if they got mixed up somehow? That said, I LOVE COINS & PINS. I think the coins they sell are really top notch. And these Pirate coins are AWESOME! Whoever designed them is very artistic and talented! Quote
S&G.Davison Posted August 15, 2007 Posted August 15, 2007 Me too - my 2 golds are bronze and the bronze is the gold finish. Sue Quote
Sunrayers Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 I ordered 3- Gold and 1-Bronze and when I lay them side by side I either got 3 Gold or 3 Bronze. E-mailed C+P to no avail! Oh Well, at least I didn't get skunked like usual C+P emailed me today with a most generous offer to rectify the mistake. I imagine after filling a few dozen orders Gold and Bronze gotta start looking alike Thanks for the great Customer Service!! Quote
S&G.Davison Posted August 16, 2007 Posted August 16, 2007 For me too - the error coin is sat here ready to be shipped back. Thanks C&P Sue Quote
