Noticed issues with apps and new submissions, but didn't see anything about existing cache pages.

Lower right map on cache pages.

The zoom in/out arrows work, but when you click on View Larger Map, the search and filters section is there, but there's a blank page where the map's supposed to be.

I've seen a couple of reports of this, but I cannot repro on any browser, even when spoof logged in as the reporting users.

Can you check and see what server you are on? This can be done by viewing the bottom of the page source (not available on the map page, but you can back up one back in the browser and check there), or by going to http://www.geocaching.com/whoami

You're up Ed...

You know this dyslexic old fart has no idea. :)

On "whoami", it says I am web 13, you are XXXXX

IE9

One of those days I wish CJ was sitting beside me... darned day-shifter.

- Now it says "I am web 19".

Need me to keep tabs?

- says 11 now - but you probably already know that...

"I am web 17".

That link just takes me back to my normal home page at Geocaching.com I tried getting maps on JAScotts account and have the same problem. she is not a premium member so it is all maps not just the google maps that are affected. Obviously we both are dead in the water until this gets fixed.

OK found all 17 of the files under the open window.. :) All 17 are = one of these three.

More data.. works OK on Firefox 25.0.1 Not my normal browser, but I'll get through tomorrow. :)

My old farts birthday run isn't for a week , so I'm good too.

CJ wanted to stay close, so it's the 12 mile Ranger Rick series in the Lehigh Gorge. Fun with the snow n ice.

Not working for me, just a big white empty page.

Firefox 27.0.1

Works on Chrome

GC Map Error 2014-2-25.jpg

Same issue for me. Home and work computers running same config.

What got me thinking was that it was odd it would work in private browsing mode- that turned out to be because it doesn't use cached data.

CLEAR BROWSER CACHE. That will fix it- it did for me. As a side effect, the top bar will turn from beige to green. I guess they did some crazy patch to their maps that is incompatible with how it used to be.

No go here either.

Top bar is green, the rest is blank

Cleared cache, tried In_Private mode. Neither works.

Using IE11, compatibility mode on/off, no difference.

Blank map view here as well - using IE9 (please don't get me started on that...I have no idea why my employer won't update that or let me use a better browser. I've given up trying to find out)

Having the same problem too. Private Browsing / clearing caches, history has no effect whatsoever, and the usual ''fix all'' compatibility mode change has returned a blank too. The good news is that like others, my maps ARE working FINE if I switch to Firefox.

For the record, I'm using IE11 (86.159.14.119)

Let's hope that this gremlin gets sorted soonest :(

I'm having the same problem. When opening the map I see a blank screen. Is it possible that this is related to the new version of Google Maps that has been released today, because when I go to Google Maps, it has a completely different layout compared to yesterday?

I'm located in the Netherlands (just FYI, because it's possible that Google is releasing the new version of Google Maps in phases).

Kind regards,

I just ended up switching to the "Leaflet" map using the "Set map preferences" button on the map toolbar. Works fine until they fix the Google Maps bug.

I tried both Leaflet and Google with same results.

I have a Mac OS X 10.6.8 and for the past few days, I have not been able to get the map. Today, I used my husband's newer MacBook and on his computer. There is a bar with 'map' under the bookmark bar that needs to be clicked on to return to the map after logging a find. I don't have that on my MacBook 10.6.8. I just have a BLANK page for the map.

WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THE MAP?

I'm not able to get the larger map page either. Just the blank screen with the geocaching.ccom in the upper left and my name in the upper right. Frustrating to say the least. Any help on this?? Using Windows7 and IE9..

Just tried again with Google Maps and Leaflet. Still nothing. The funny thing is that it worked fine yesterday morning, but last night when I went to download a couple of caches - nothing. I just tried with my wife's laptop and hers isn't any better than mine.

Same issues as stated above, tried troubleshooting, no luck. Hope this gets resolved very soon, some of us are in the dark. Today was my day off and no Geocaching can make a grown man cry lol

Would someone with some tech experience be willing to work with me to debug this issue? Message in the forum thread here and I'll respond to you privately.

Another day where one computer in the house has all the maps and the other one has the white out only. Is there something we can do to fix this or is Groundspeak the one with the magic fingers? I know the folks there are busy, but a fix would be nice asap. Our computer with the problem is running Windows 7 Home Premium and everything else is working just fine, Thanks.

I am up and running. It is Wednesday afternoon, Mountain Standard Time. Wonderful!!!! I was able to easily log all of my caches today using the map cache icons. THANKS to Groundspeak for responding to the problem.

We are having the same problem. We like to use the map this location or view pocket query on the map to plan routes and get an overview of the caches. Along with others who have written in, we just get the Geocaching border and the blank white space in the middle.

Since about 5 days the same issue here. Apparently without any change on my computer (Windows update shows no recent updates) IE11 on W7 refuses to display the GEO map.

While when using Firefox the map is displayed OK.

I just noticed when adding a "s" to the protocol the GEO map does display on IE.

Adding a S does nothing for me. Is GC doing anything? Still waiting for an answer.

@Raine

Would be glad to help, but be advised that I am not experiencing this problem here. Running FF27. 28 is pending installation and I will therefore be on 28 if/after I shut it down and restart.

Presently running Greasemonkey with Geocaching Map Enhancements 0.6.8. With either Google or Mapquest selected as the map source, things look fine. I can back out of any of those, of course.

I can not see the issue via iPad nor iMac, maps are very visible. I'm having zero issues on this end.

Same here. All maps are showing just fine on safari (iPhone 4, 5s, iPad 3, iPad air) leaflet and google...

I just fixed my maps. I am using IE 11 and found that Geocaching.com was listed in the compatibility view settings. As soon as I removed the site the maps worked fine.
