  1. The bookmark list has been posted.
  2. I can make the list to help out. Sorry to hear about your Dad. You will see it soon.
  3. Thank you Jayme! Tell Ben hi!
  4. I changed my stats back to show them. It was working so I'm guessing it's a bug of some sort.
  5. Hi, there is a bug with the builtin stats not matching up with the total finds. I have noticed on several accounts that users numbers are off. My total finds used to match but as of yesterday they do not. Is this a known issue?
  6. Feature request: disable clustering I would like the option to disable clustering. Or at the very least be able to adjust the clustering size.
  7. Anyone interested in an unactivated Geowoodstock XII - Collector Set - Bus and Rounds - Black Nickel - LE? Make an offer.
  8. Thanks for all of your hard work Travis! See you in Quincy!
  9. I just fixed my maps. I am using IE 11 and found that Geocaching.com was listed in the compatibility view settings. As soon as I removed the site the maps worked fine.
  10. Yes, we asked to switch rooms but the smell was even worse. The hotel staff were very friendly and apologetic. There was a large group of sports teams there so our room options were limited. I never thought it would be an issue as hotels in Washington are smoke free I believe. But I should of realized Oregon has different laws. We were staying near McMinnville to visit the Air & Space museum and check out the GPS Maze exhibit.
  11. I am a non-smoker and I make it a rule not to stay in hotels that offer smoking rooms. I had a bad experience once with my Mom & Daughter where we stayed in a hotel that had smoking rooms. We were given a non-smoking room but the smell permeated the entire room. Unfortunately we paid for the room using Hotwire so we changed hotels and I had to eat the cost of the hotel room. This is why I will be staying at the Oxford Suites. It is 100% non-smoking. You may not have the experience I did but for me once was enough. This is just my two cents.
  12. Keystone, you're missing the point. I'm not suggesting that lab cache type a, b, c and whatever need to individually be incorporated as a new cache type, but the catch-all, the lab if you will, should be a cache type since people are going out and finding them. The hint is in the name: Lab Cache. They were introduced as a new type of cache. If you find a lab cache, you find an experimental cache, and no matter what the experiment was at the time, you found one. It seemed obvious to me that that is why they were just given the generic label "Lab Cache", so that the cache type "Lab Cache" could be used over and over again for lots of different experiments. It doesn't matter what experiment they were at the time they were "found" by a user, they're lab caches. Why not count them (properly)? I like the idea of lab caches but I also want them counted in GSAK, the stats tab, as a "official" cache type. I agree it does not matter what the experiment is... Lab Caches should be counted as caches. Otherwise make them equal to benchmarks and not count them. If they were treated like benchmarks I would try it or if they were treated like an "official" cache type I would try it. I really want to try them but I wish the decision was made one way or the other.
  13. I tried changing the "name" on the Send to GPS dialog for my Garmin Etrex 30 to %user%smart but my GPSr didn't recognize my geocache waypoints as geocaches.
  14. I tested the iPhone GeoBeacon software with Garmin's ANT+ dongle. It does not work with GeoBeacon.
  15. I have ordered Garmin's adapter and will let you know. I tested the GeoBeacon software with Garmin's ANT+ dongle. It does not work with GeoBeacon.
  16. I have ordered Garmin's adapter and will let you know.
  17. I have ordered Garmin's ANT+ adapter for the iPhone and will be testing out GeoBeacon soon. I will post the results here. I have been searching the web, asked Jeremy on Facebook, and tweeted @Garmin but no one has an answer for me yet. I'm hoping it will work just as well as Wahoo Fitness ANT+ adapter since it is around $80 and Garmin's adapter is $40.
  18. Still plenty of roadside micros, but no real caches in my watch area. Everyone is gearing up for February 29th. In my area I know of at least 32 caches that will be published that day... including a 29 cache series.
  19. I would like to have the Saved Lists I have created in the Geocaching for iPhone app to appear in my Lists on Geocaching.com. It would be similar to the notepad feature that saves data from each cache page and shows up under notepad option in the iPhone app.
  20. When I submit logs via the iPhone 4.5.6 app I use the following text. [Cache #XXXX] The rest of the log goes here. Though when I look at the log on geocaching.com it shows up as [Cache #XXXX] The rest of the log goes here. I believe the app is not recognizing the return I make when I'm composing the log. It is a minor annoyance as logs submitted via the website have the correct formatting.
  21. I know the APE caches started out as a "commercial" but you can not deny that they took a life of their own. To me to let the APE caches go especially the one as part of the "Triad" is just denying people an experience. Appealing the business side, Groundspeak knows you make money by giving people what they want...not taking away.
  22. Again, strike my line about archiving dangerous caches... I was incorrect.
  23. Just thought I'd touch on this portion of your post. Groundspeak will not archive a cache if the only issue is danger. As (hopefully) thinking humans, we must decide for ourselves, on a case by case basis, if we are physically and mentally prepared to tackle whatever challenges a cache may present. Of my 60+ active hides, I'd guess that less than 5 of them would be considered "safe". The rest could very well get you quite dead if you are not prepared for the dangers inherent in the locations. Ok, so strike my line about archiving. Isn't my point valid?
  24. I like the idea of creating virtual caches (with a plaque. if stolen over and over) at each APE cache site while receiving an ape icon for the find. I don't think any of them should of been archived in the first place. It is a poor policy, in my opinion. The only reason a cache should be archived is if the hide becomes a danger or the owner does not maintain the cache. Replacing containers is one of those things that just happens.... remember they are just boxes! It's about the journey and where geocaching takes you not the container that the cache is in. Another way to think about this is...if hypothetically, someone had switched an APE cache container lets say in 2005. Therefore the 'cachet' is gone... but no one realizes it because it is an exact original. Does that mean all of the finds afterwards are invalid? In my opinion, no. A find, is a find is a find. This is why I believe Groundspeak should reverse their policy and reactivate all of the APE caches that are inactive due to stolen containers. There existing policy just gives people a reason to steal the containers... I hate to say this but I expect the last APE cache to be gone within a year... especially that it's value has substantially increased because of this policy.
