Just look at a website called geocaching.com It will tell you where to to look for ammo cans! Edited July 16, 2009 by GrnXnham Quote Link to comment
+Berta Nick Zoey
I did in fact win them at auction. And as I usually do, I bite off way more than I can handle. Several hundred is actually an understatement. How about 1800 of them. I figure it'll take me .....forever to sell of these. But, Im still young. (or not) Quote Link to comment
+RS67Man
Can you post a photo of them? I am sure it would get passed around between cachers as the biggest gathering of ammo boxes outside of the military anyone has seen. Quote Link to comment
+Berta Nick Zoey
I attempted to add an image, but am having problems figuring out how. Anyone give me a pointer on this? I tried to link to the URL of where the image is located and that didnt work. I am also going to adjust the pricing on these based on the fact that there is competition to sell these. I am asking 6.50 per can. We can also discuss delivery! Quote Link to comment
+dshifter
Where are you located? I wouldn't mind buying a few if the shipping price isn't too high. I live in Lewiston, Idaho. Quote Link to comment
+Berta Nick Zoey
If there is anyone along the I-90 corridor as far east as Moses Lake, Id be more than happy to drop some cans off along the way on my way to Clarkston in a few weeks. Quote Link to comment
+SwampDiner
I would also be interested if shipping wasn't too high. I live in Wood Dale, Illinois. Quote Link to comment
+steve p
Those would make a creative cache. Make one the cache container, and stack all of them up in the woods. Finders have to locate the correct one to log. Quote Link to comment
+The Jester
Can you say "breeder cache?" Quote Link to comment
+nelson crew
Interested here. We'll be over on the wet side here in about a month. I have a truck - perhaps if you get some other orders from the Spokane/CDA area I can pick them all up last day and bring them home with me. Quote Link to comment
+smelly_shoes
you should take about 700 or so of them and put a single piece of paper inside each saying "not this one", then a log book in one and make a big pile of them somewhere in woods as a cache. It would need a cheesy name like "needle in a hay stack" or "fish in a barrel" Quote Link to comment
+Ockette
I'd love to take three or four off your hands. Where are you? Quote Link to comment

+Berta Nick Zoey
We will be going to Tri-Cities in September. Just not sure what weekend yet. We'd be more than happy to bring some cans with us. Quote Link to comment
+uxorious
I would love to be able to read the mind of anyone casually walking past your garage when you have that door open. Looks like a paramilitary compound. Quote Link to comment
+Berta Nick Zoey
Well, The very next day after unloading all of those cans into THAT part of the garage, I moved them all into the 3rd garage bay. The door to that doesnt get opened too much. But if you were to look in that garage now, its floor to ceiling end to end solid cans. These things are going. Ive already gotten rid of close to 100 of them so it wont take Too long. Quote Link to comment

+Right Wing Wacko
You could rent a table at one or both of the local WAC Gun Show. I've been to the one in Monroe several times, and while there are sometimes vendors there that have ammo cans, they seem to run out early. Quote Link to comment
+cpine
Holy COW! You are not kidding! I hope you got a good price on them! LOL! This is amazing! Ammo can anyone? Got ot give it to you when you do somthing you do it! Chris Quote Link to comment

+wild wiggly beanz
Will see if I can get down that way this fall. Worldcaching usually likes the smaller size but maybe its time to encourage people to get some nice BIG hides out there. A few too many micros in the woods lately ! Will let you know as soon as we get the fall camping plans set ! Quote Link to comment
Fledermaus
Any chance of someone coming up with a bunch of the smaller (1/2 size) ammo-cans? I could use maybe 5 or 10 of them. Quote Link to comment
+Berta Nick Zoey
Interestingly, The past weekends Cache Machine in Tri-Cities, had only 1 ammo can hide if I recall. I remember when I placed my very first cache 3 years ago. It too was a micro in the woods. And being new to the hobby, several people mentioned that I should have placed the biggest container the area would/could support. Times have changed, I guess. Having this many cans will give me a lot of opportunities to place them in the hills and woods around the area. Of course, I dont plan on putting out several hundred caches any time soon. +ZeroHecksGiven
I still have all five of the ones I picked up from you in Auburn, though two are ready to go out, just waiting to find good locations. The other three will get homes within the next few weeks as well. Quote Link to comment

Thanks Nick Don't you know you're supposed to trade for the stuff INSIDE of them, not for the cans themselves? I saw a cache the other day without a container, Now I know where it went. I might take some. Let me check with "the boss" on this one. We live pretty close by and go caching in Maple Valley periodically. Quote Link to comment
