+Team OleOmi
Patch greeting krycek008 at the cache site... This is Patch, our retired-from-summer-geocaching, 112 lb Black Lab...Patch still rides out to geocaching sites with us in the fall and winter, but can't take the hot Texas summer...he has gotten heat stoke twice when the temperature reached 85+ degrees...you know you love your dog when you spend hours putting ice packs in his armpits and groin!...he's also a senior citizendog, being 8 years old with arthritis...BUT...he is the official guardian of our cache site "To All the Cats We've Loved Before (GCQ680)...and he takes that job very seriously...we have rewarded that dedication by giving him his own travel bug (TB1NGTW), a GeoDog Geocoin he wears on his collar. Patch is a shelter rescue and wants me to remind everyone; if you are thinking of a new pet... MAKE SHELTER ADOPTION YOUR FIRST OPTION, PLEASE! Sorry the picture is so small, I don't know how to make it bigger...duh Edited June 20, 2007 by Team OleOmi Quote Link to comment
+NashvilleJoe
Bulli the Wonder Dog is the B portion of TEAM NAB and has his own account to record his finds. (I do help him with his logging!) He loves the longer range hikes and climbs to get to the caches! (Imagine that!) He's been a regular cacher since June 2002 and can be ready to hit the caching trail much quicker than either of the other team members. He is frequently nosing out the cache even before we've made it to the site! He even finds interesting critters that we may have missed altogether! This is one of the cache sites that Bulli found for TEAM NAB! We were walking up the trail to this cache with Bulli several yards ahead of us when AG said that she believed he had found the cache. I shot the pic as I got closer and sure enough, there is was. Guess we should have just sent him in to grab this one!! Quote Link to comment
+~NotMe~
I've started caching a little over a year ago because I thought it would be a great way to get the family outdoors in a fun way. Little did I know the most enthusiastic (next to me, of course) about geocaching would be my dog, Cosmo. He LOVES to go to the caching events with me, so I try to bring him along whenever there's hiking, camping and/or trails involved. He seems fascinated with TBs as you can see in the photos... This photo is a TB we found when we just started out in a cache called 'Thank you, Mr. Carnegie' in Plainfield, IN. The next two are TB 'buddies' we've found on our journeys.. I would take more photos but I'm currently trying to replace my now broken digital camera... Wouldn't it be fun to have an event just for cache dogs? Just a thought! Quote Link to comment

+itsme_timd
Awesome! I had some pics of my dog and I caching and just stumbled on this contest. My dog, "Boo", goes with me whenever she can. She normally leads the way and is never ready to go when I am, however after a long weekend she was tired and would not even get out of the truck at the last cache spot. I guess that's a sign that it's time to call it a day! Thanks for the contest, Tim D Here's an awesome cache close to my home in an abandoned graveyard, Boo is starting to get tired here but she's still searching. We couldn't find this one today and Boo finally gave up and went back to the truck, after a few minutes I gave in and we went home. But... we did find this one the next day! Quote Link to comment
+Ryder3 & Better Half
This is Sky,our Great Dane. We like to call him the great muggle distractor. We used to take him when we hunted for caches, but he attracted TOO MUCH attention! (It's kind of hard to be stealthy with a 160 lb. big WHITE dog! LOL) So,now he mostly goes to events with us,where he plays with all the kids, and is the center of attention! He LOVES it! LOL!! Edited June 25, 2007 by Ryder3 & Better Half Quote Link to comment

There was one last Nov. We went and took Bulli the Wonder Dog with us. It was a fun event-lots of caching dogs there with their "people". Everyone present was well behaved, including the "people". +Tundra-quad
I am placing a submittal for Pioneer Woman (PW). She is responsible for getting us into the caching addiction. She is an Army Col and nurse currently stationed at Ft Wainwright Alaska. She also is a puppy sponsor for Guide Dogs of the Desert. She currently is raising a golden retriever named Trooper. We have high hopes he will pass graduation as a guide dog and go to a veteran. PW has no childeren and thus uses TQ3, age 8, and TQ4, age 5, to socialize him to kids. Trooper is a great dog and will make someone a wonderful companion. He also enjoys caching. Unfortunately I'm new to this forum and don't know how to upload the images. As you can see, Wyatt Earp is really not looking at the right place, for this one he was not helping us very much. Our geodogs Judd and Wyatt got their picture taken with a little TB. +Laval K-9
As we were getting ready to hide our 50th cache, Judd and Wyatt helped us by filling up the ammo box with what they think is the best swag ever. That's their idea of what geocaching should be about, finding an ammo box full of doggie treats. We finally convinced them that we were going to put something else in the cache. They agreed to that but, we had to split the large cookie between the two of them. Quote Link to comment
