  3. thanks guys It seem the compass page is not changing to the geocache navigation mode...I am not sure what to do now. maybe a reset???
  4. Had to send in my older 60cx for repair. Garmin sent a replacment (for $110) the compass page (bearing page) (course page} does not show the found data field {at the bottom of the screen} It shows delete instead of found. How do I change it to found?????The model Garmin sent me has an English (UK) softeware program if that makes a differance.I have tried most all of the common things, menu menu setup change data fields and so on. softeware is 4.20 and GPS SW version 2.40m If you have any ? on this please post.
  5. I downloaded a route from map quest to my 60cx.and it works. didn't know I could do that.this will help me get around Portland Or. I think I'm going to love this feature
  6. I got ripped off by a guy on ebay for the same thing and never did get my money back.
  7. You are not the first person to question our difficulty rating in the forums and I am confident that you will not be the last. We have rated the event as a 5 difficulty because In order to attend we expect attendees will need to: - Research and plan their trip (including the park rules, terrain, weather and other hazards etc.) throw in some rabid squirrel monkeys and it will be fun. - Research, Acquire and Pack all the necessary gear... This includes food, cookware, stove, shelter, water filtration, Shovel to dig a latrine etc. - Exercise - get in physical shape - Last year my group and I group traveled 32 miles in 3 days on the island. Most of which we were carrying our fully loaded packs (75+LBS) This years goal is to cut that waaayyy back on weight. - practice/learn outdoor skills. this includes setting up shelter and preparing meals with only the tools available on the trail. - Have the guts to hop off the boat and leave the world behind. Once attendees step off the ferry they are on their own. There is no turning back, no stores or restaurants to eat at; no hotel rooms to rent in case of a really nasty thunderstorm etc.. Based on the scores of hours I have spent researching, shopping, exercising, and refining my outdoor skills; I am confident that our rating is spot on.

  13. can I set up a second palm with the same user name? will cachemate work with another palm using the same user name ? can I set up my cachemate with a second user name?
  14. I have the same problem, what I think it is when I put check marks on a lot of caches on say page 1 then go to bottom of page and hit the down load way points it sends them to the gps as way points. if I go to each cache page and tell it to send to gps then it sends It as a geocache.
  15. Thanks that is what i was thinking, but need to know for sure.
  16. I did a search on palm and got a lot of help, however I could not find the answer I needed. Do I install cachmate to the palm memory or the expantion card. Thanks.Im off to cacheing for a few hours.

  18. Thanks people, that is kind of what I thought.
  19. There is a local cacher that has adopted several abandoned caches. Some he has moved a few feet and posted new coords. others he reactivated after they were archived. Now I have found most of these cache over a year ago. what I would like to know is would it be ethical to find these cache again and log a find.
  20. You can find a computer most any where,I've logged from motels, library and other places. That way it gets into cache in a timely manner. I have logged from Vancouver Island without a problem. If you get to Portland Oregon area email me and you can use my computer.
