I purchased a geocoin from USAgeocoins.com and when I went to the website they provided to activate it...it says my tracking number couldn't be found? I've emailed them several times and haven't gotten a reply back. Has anyone had this issue?

 

check to see if you've misinterpreted an 8 for a B, or a O for a 0, 1 for an I...I think we've all done that!

I've double checked backwards, forwards, upside down, sideways haha...NOTHING! I still haven't heard anything back from them either. I'm very discouraged.

Groundspeak is doing the activation codes for AE Toys but you have to put in the subject line activation code for AE Toys. Other wise they think it is one that you should get from one of the vendors.

Newbie Question, If I just want to see if a coin is activated I just enter the tracking number and see if it has a history/owner?

I tried to find out via the 3 step process, got an activation code, a referal code and then left the web page without finishing up step 2 or 3.

Now it's listed in my trackables. Is it activated? I will have to adpot it out to change ownership?

Yes it is activated to you now. If you want to give it to someone then you would adopt it out to them.

THX4TC Red Jeep: that is Alan and Eli's and you will have to contact Groundspeak and pur A&E activation code in the subject. They are no longer in business so Groundspeak will give you the codes for them.

Geopix is coinswag another business no longer there so include them. When contacting Groundspeak, give then the makers and the numbers on the coin.They will only give out codes for the businesses that is no longer there.

I'm quite new to the "omg my geocoin can't get activated in time for my trip" part of geocaching. Does anyone have a suggestion for me? Thanks! :o

Anybody who bought coins from me (Toojin / Idaho Geocoiners) at Geowoodstock, check with me for activation codes.

 

Some I have,

some I know how to get, and

some I know nothing about.

 

and p.s. I really truly am majorly embarassed that I forgot to put the information in the flips... ;)

Groundspeak's Lost & Found Celebration geocoin has a cache addicts flip that says to retrieve the code at coincodes.com but there is nothing under Groundspeak, Lost & Found or HQ for this coin.

Anyone know how to get these activated?

The original are all activated to the UN diabetes. Oakcoins had some made that you could activate. If you have one of those then you can go to oakcoins.

I purchased 5 of the 10 years Geocaching coin/medallion at the Groundspeak Woodstock booth. The coins came with no activation instructions. Can anyone help?

Geocoinclub had the geocaching 10 year anniversay

 

I don't know if Geocoinclub made this 3" coin, but the activation codes are 10YEARS

2005 San Diego County Geocachers: Made by the San Diego Geocoin Club. Probably will have to email PassingWind or Caching Widow Caching Widow designed it and seemed to do the selling and trading.

Sgt Stitches: Probably have to email him.

Nacaya: Originally came with the coin so will have to email Nacaya
