We are new to this hobby but I think we are hooked! If someone could make us an avatar, that would be wonderful!

Our name: fishfam  because we are a family that fishes for salmon and steelhead alot. DH is a fish snob though and any other fish would offend him.  B)

There are 6 of us, 4 boys, dh and myself. something that signifies salmon or trout fishing and the 6 of us would be appreciated. The kids range in age from 11-2.

Sorry but this is a real lousy first attempt. (I don't even know for sure if these are trout.)

 

I hope someone can come up with something better or I'll just keep trying.

Sorry if someone has already asked this but I don't have time to read through all 22 pages.

 

How do you write something underneath you avatar picture that shows to the left of your posts? I tried finding some way to do it, but was unsuccesful.  Right now it says tadpole under my picture so is there a way to change that?

I'm not sure, but I think you might have to have at least 10 posts to change that text.

 

But, when you have achieved the number that allows it, you make the change from your Profile page where it says "Edit your profile."

 

On the next page is a place where you can write in your "Forum Title."

Ok. I'm pretty new to the forums, so after I have a few more posts I'll see if I can change it.

Wow, these are so creative!  I love doing stuff like this, but haven't felt inspired.  Would you do one for me?  PNW stands for Pacific Northwest, and the Wizard part is an inside joke between DH & I.  We like kayaking, our Doberman, and of course, caching!  DH is Irish, and I'm Scandinavian.  Thanks!!

Well...I TRIED to make it green!

The color change came out a little rough. If you're using it just as an avatar, it shouldn't be too noticable.

A woman goes into Wal-Mart to buy a rod and reel. She doesn't know which one to get so she just grabs one and goes over to the register. There is a Wal-Mart "associate" standing there with dark shades on. She says, "Excuse me sir...can you tell me anything about this rod and reel?"

He says, "Ma'am I'm blind but if you will drop it on the counter I can tell you everything you need to know about it from the sound that it makes." She didn't believe him, but dropped it on the counter anyway. He said, "That's a 6' graphite rod with a Zebco 202 reel and 10 lb. test line...It's a good all around rod and reel and it's $20.00".

 

She says, "Thats amazing that you can tell all that just by the sound of it dropping on the counter. I think it's what I'm looking for so I'll take it." He walks behind the counter to the register, and in the meantime the woman farts. At first she is embarrassed but then realizes that there is no way he could tell it was her..being blind he wouldn't know that she was the only person around. He rings up the sale and says, "That will be $25.50."

 

She says, "But didn't you say it was $20.00?" He says, "Yes ma'am, the rod and reel is $20.00, the duck call is $3.00, and the catfish stink bait is $2.50."

We are avatarless, we cant seem to find a good picture that we like that goes with our name "the junkyard dogs". We would love to see any suggestions.

I have been struggling with an Avatar since recently taking up this obsession. CENT5 denotes a nickle so how hard could it be. Wellll I'll tell a small tale as to how I became CENT5.

 

Back in 93-94 I started flying in AirWarrior and wanted a name that would stick. I had gone to DC and visited friends on "The Wall". In 1972 I was 19 yrs old in the Air Cav and had a Capt. that took me under his wing so to speak. His call sign was Centaur5. (I was CENT3.) On a very bad day in July 1972 he was KIA just east of Quang Tri. I cared deeply about this man who mentored me in a difficult stage of life. (War is a bitch.) Sooo I took his name CENT5 to keep his memory alive and to honor a true hero in my life.

 

Now I have not found a good looking Centaur. Don't think they make one. I am TOTALLY computer illiterate with paint etc. Any chance you could cook up an aviation (Helicopter or CAV) related Centaur?

I stumbled across this photo and thought it was pretty cool. Obviously I created the nickel, but I think that if you could get a coin like that minted, it would be an excellent signature trade item.

ok hacker seen this and would love some help.i kind like mine but its more cop than jailer.also whatever it is i would like to have a stamper also from a local shop so it would have to be kinda 2 colored one dark color and one light color.also it would be cool to have my caching name on it as well.maybe the one i have in a black and white outline with name below but i dont know how good it would look just the outline since it is so detailed!!thanks i know i am a pain but do it once and leave it right??.cool topic and thanks man

I would like an avatar using my license plate. Here is the Georgia sample image and here is a photo of the plate on my vehicle:
