  3. I have been using a Magellan GC for several years without any downloading problems. In the past Month I get " Browser Not Supported" message. 4. Having same problem with my Magellan GC
  5. Today, while searching for a cache, I found another cache approx 85 feet due East. Its very damaged but the log book was in good shape. The last log was written in 2010. I have the cache name but no owner. Its not on GC. I would love to contact the owner but I cannot find the cache name while doing a search. Its called "Beardog Den" and placed 10/10/10. Placed in a Texas State Park.
  6. Go try Shrink E Dinks at your local craft store. Its a clear plastic you can write on, put in oven to shrink and harden into a coin. Works great for making different styles of coins.
  7. I bought a GC at a local pawn shop for $50. All the caches were deleted. I found I had to have the unit turned on, before I plugged it into the computer.
  8. In North Central Texas, where I work, the PI is ankle to knee deep everywhere. I take care of over 600 acres of Goverment property and I am always in the stuff. Oral Ivy pills and cold showers before I leave for home helps.
  9. I have placed one where I work. I used an old Blue Bird house, sealed the hole with mesh and placed a large clear tube inside the house. Its a great P & G that everyone loves.
  10. Having same problems but with BOTH of my Magellans. In another forum someone said Magellan was having problems
  11. I have 2 different magellans. I just purchaced a used GC that has the caches deleted. You can load the caches thru downloads but it is a pain. I hope magellan gets it fixed. I may have to go back to my old Garmin.
  12. When the local lake level comes up a lot of salt cedar trees are drowned. Find a nice stright one, strip the bark and sand or shave it down to the red heart wood. You will have to pick a large diameter tree to get the proper size of heart wood. I let them dry about 3 months, in the heater closet, seal with varnish and there you are. Making your own staff is well over half the fun.
  13. I am a Facilites Manager at a large camp, 600+ acres. We have the DFW schools come up for 3 days at a time. We teach the Texas Science Curriculum and the kids and teachers love to Geocache. We have our science caches available for the classes only. I have just got permisson to start puting caches along the outer bounderies of the camp for local cachers. The Kids love the hunt and many take the classes of caching home to their parents.
  14. I haver 3 of my original 4 bugs lost or in limbo. I have sent out 2 different E-mails and just grabbed the 3rd so I can use my copy to sent it on its way again. I am going to wait a couple of weeks to see what comes up on the other 2.
  15. I have a cache close to the road I drive home on. Parking is right off the road and I honk @ the folks hunting.
  16. In North Central TX, You take a wrong turn in the woods and the guard dogs run you off.
  17. While trying to find a bench mark bolt, on the old red courthouse in downtown Dallas TX, we were stopped by some of Dallas best. Lucky for me My other half is a Deputy for Dallas Co. I didnt even have to say a word...It is sometime good to have your own protection.
  18. I lightly sandblast my ammo boxes...reprimer and add my own cammo job before adding stickers...I think the less official military markings on the box the better
