  1. I was thinking the same thing when I wrote my post. To me, this is the world's top cacher... Now he is the top cacher... ---------->
  2. #1 What is your longest running cache with the LEAST number of finds. My longest running cache (also my only cache) is my Top O the World cache. It has been around since late 2002 with lots of attempts, but only 1 find. It sat unfound for just over 25 months the first stint, but that record is being challenged as it has currently been 24-1/2 months since it's last find. #2 Why? It is located waaay down in Baja near La Paz. It is not too far away from civilization, but getting there is really tough. One of the attempts was by an organization that does off-road tours down in that area. The leader of the group called for a pit stop right at my cache location with the agenda to nab my cache. He had the whole group looking for it, but came up empty handed. Fortunately he did post some cool pics. #3 Why do you keep it listed instead of archiving it? It is a grandfathered vacation cache which is kinda cool. We have a house down in Baja and I check on it when I get the chance. Keeping it also allows me to post to these kinds of threads when they pop up from time to time. .
  3. I'm on the Australian site because I found a couple of LCs that were listed as being in Australia and because I owned an LC that was 'found' in Australia. That makes sense now. After a little research, it would appear that you and I logged the lame LC within 3 weeks of each other - nearly 4 1/2 years ago.
  4. I too am registered in the Austrailian site, although I dont recall ever being south of the equator. Odd. That ZabaSearch is pretty wild. (and scary)

    Wow, TITB is good ...
  6. Hello, In the off-road world there are several entities that incorporate live vehicular GPS tracking online. Here are a couple of sites that may shed some light for what you are looking for. Best In The Desert Dakkar Rally IriTrack
  7. The first (and only) cache (GCA122) I hid was way back in October 2002. It went for approximately 773 days (25½ months) before a FTF was logged. Currently it has been unfound for 412 days (13½ months) and counting. According to the logs on the page, it has only been found 25% of the time. Looking at the waterfall picture posted, it would appear that approximately 14 people were looking for it at one time (maybe more), and all were stumped.
  8. I'll probably get in trouble for this one, but I rather like the random picture.
  9. Congrats ParentsofSam!! I feel like an indirect winner for your avatar. You will have to post a picture when you get the staff so we can all see El Diablo's fine work. <~GoLeft
  10. Clippity Clop Clippity Clop Bang Bang Clippity Clop Anybody get the number of that horse and buggy? We've just been hit by an Amish Drive-By!! . . . . . . .
  11. Hi Ed, Go ahead and send me the larger file and I will make the necessary adjustments for you. Contact me through my geocaching account. <~GoLeft Curtis
  12. Do you have a larger picture of the artwork to work with, or do you just want the avatar sized one changed? <~GoLeft
  13. Ok, since nobody else is stepping up, heres my lame attempt at a geo-crop circle. ----> GoLeft
  14. Wide avatars don't really work too well on these forums as it is limited to a width of 75 pixels. I don't believe there is a limit on the height of an avatar. One way to get around that is to cut out any extraneous parts on the side to make the avatar more slender. In the case of your avatar, simply stacking the subjects works too. or GoLeft
