Freaky Cache Sites...

Have you ever stumbled onto a cache site and found something you didn't want to ?

Don't get too graphic on me, but tell me your horror stories...

Just recently, I found someone's porno cache just prior to finding the geo-cache

I was chasing.

Hmmm... what a nice opportunity for a CITO !

Found one a few weeks ago, (No Bricks) where there were some freaky stuff going on. There were alter type things around, candles and Christmas decorations. Weird stuff. We did take the time to add a few crosses made out of sticks though. Thought that was a nice touch.

Reminds me of seeing the Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormon's coming to the door and answering naked with pentagrams drawn all over in magic marker B)

I found a stash like that while I was hiding one of my caches. Now here's a dilemma for ya. As I'm walking around the site I keep picking up loose pages from a really nasty magazine. As I'm walking back to my car I realize there's no garbage can in the park. Now I don't want to bring this filth into my car for fear I'll forget to through it out and someone will see it in there. Maybe even my wife! What would you have done?

OT:

JW's came to my father-in-law's house once while I was there. They asked if MY dog would bite. I said "take your chances, she's not MY dog"

(OK I thought it was funny at the time)

Ok, my last OT post in this thread. B)

I am presently copying my entire CD library (small though it is) to my hard drive, because they are getting scratched up real bad in my car. I had been listening to Type-O while driving to a cache (true, and slightly on topic) and thought that with all "smurfy" avatars out there, I'd try something different. B) I noticed the album cover while saving the files, and the rest is very recent history.

Sorry to hear your disk got ruined.

Not 'freaky' per se, but we trashed out some porn that was left at the parking area for a cache we attempted once (it proved to be a poorly planned hide; it was apparently removed by the group managing the area before anyone ever found it).

Problem was, there was no trash can available so I tossed it under the seat of the vehicle, which happened to be my mother-in-law's. Yep, I forgot to remove it, and she found it after we returned the truck. Fortunately, she has a sense of humor...

I was searching for a cache with canbill and as we were walking along, he casually said "I smell dead things". I happened to look down and (being raised in the city, far from anything but the occasional dead pigeon), I jumped about five feet in the air (and may or may not have screeched/squealed, I don't believe it) as I avoided stepping all over what appeared to be a dead fox. ANTS!!!

Alot of them (lost count after 10,000), and they were not happy that I was disturbing their new home (the cache). And they had no problem with making it perfectly clear to me, who was in charge of the cache...

But I had a can of RAID in the truck and I showed them!

This is geocaching we are talking about and I was going to get my find!!!

Now I am know as Doc-Dean - healer of people, slayer of ants! B)

Well some of you may remember one of my old freaky finds where I found this old smallish prison in Detroit and was overwhelmed by the smell of rotting flesh.

I had UMC check it out for me, but the clever fiends had since converted the prison to a boat house.

I did a pretty good job of scaring the crap out of myself on this one. B)B)

You can read the old thread here.

I'll have to pull the pic from the home computer, but while exploring a historic area north of Birmingham, AL I found a dead Santa sprawled on the ground near a gift shop... made for a creepy picture! It was a manequin with a Santa suit on... just laying there like he'd been mugged!
