Broncoholics
Well, I tried to make simple conversation and was yet again, shut down. I was simply doing a post about internet connection and my topic was closed. There was a cache event scheduled for this weekend in Denver that my son and I were going to, but we choose not to. I feel I have been disrespected and don't have to look for caches on this site anymore. I remember when I placed a silly joke on this site everday for over a year and now I can't even talk about a measly ol' internet connection. I am sure my huge family will manage without these stupid a** forums. Thanks Co Admin, for all the good times, it's been a pleasure and keep up the good work. I will now list my caches elsewhere, a place where we have never been disrespected and we are always welcome. Cya Duane Upinyachit Quote Link to comment

mortonfox
The forums are not the whole of geocaching. You can play the game without reading and posting to the forums. And indeed many do. Quote Link to comment
+Snoogans
Don't let the door hit ya where the good Lord split ya. Well, that's not my sentiment and I wouldn't write it if it was. I was surprised to see that thread shut down so quickly. However, I wouldn't quit over it ,nor would I post an attention getting thread if I did quit for any reason other than lack of interest. +Alan2
I don't think that topic should have been shut down. Discussing the cost of internet service when you're on it for loads of time with these forums has as much or more relationship to geocaching than talking about carrying guns while caching which doesn't get shut down. As usual, the moderators are too quick to pull the plug. I don't know why they don;'t just relax a little and stop taking this stuff so seriously. You too upinyachit. Lighten up and hang around Alan Quote Link to comment
+sbell111
It took me a few minutes to get a handle on what this thread was about. I finally found the other thread. It wasn't related to the game so it was closed. Kind of a bummer, but not a huge deal. My feeling is the conversation could continue in the other referenced thread. As for quiting, Why? Everyone who has communicated with you in the forums knows that you love this hobby. The forums, on the other hand, are peaving you. Why don't you just step away from the forums for a while? I didn't participate at all for most of the summer and fall. I returned with the realization that the forums are not real life. There is nothing here worth getting upset over. I hope you choose not to quit. You have been as asset to the game. Quote Link to comment

I also agree with something another cacher said.....if it weren't for the geocaching forums, I wouldn't spend much time at all on the internet, so therefore, a discussion of internet charges is more on topic than a discussion of vehicles getting stuck.
