+IWILLFIND
Just Clowning Around ! by Team BattleCache I just have to tell a funny story that happened to me today!!!!!! I was going to this cache to grab the travel bugs and move them south on an upcoming vacation...Got to the area where the park folks had done some work with a bulldozer and was just walking along minding my own bussiness when all of a sudden I came upon a guy and girl in the woods with the girl laying on her back smacking the guy saying get up someones coming!!!! Needless to say they were wearing nothing but smiles and red faces from embarrassment...The guy stood up and started grabbing for cloths just leaving the girl sitting there. He was in such a hurry that he even tried to put her bra on himself.I don't know how I kept a straight face but I walked on down into the woods and while they were scrambeling for their cloths I proceeded to look for the cache...I wish I could have gotten to the cache without them seeing me because I would have gotten the camera from the cache and taken some pics...Boy wouldn't the cache owner have been in for a surprise then???Any way they got their cloths on and high tailed it out of there and after they were gone I just sat down on a log and had myself a good laugh!!!! It truly was a comedy. The look on the girls face was priceless!!!Her eyes were as big as saucers bugging out and her face just had one of those OH SH*T looks!!!!!!!I was so bumfuzzled and laughing so hard at what I had just saw that I never did make it to the cache!!!! Just had to share this it is too good of a story to keep!!!You just never know what you'll run into in the woods..... Quote Link to comment
+TeamK-9
ROTFLMAO!!! Strange, very strange. I have no clue how I'd react if I came upon something like that... I definately wouldn't have been as calm as you were, but I'd be laughing my *** off. ---- Extra batteries for GPS, don't leave home without 'em. Quote Link to comment
+Wind Powered Pirates
So your the one who interupted us. LOL Just kidding. Although I have been on both sodes of that fence before. Finding and found. It is pretty funny though when it's someone else scrambling for the clothes LOL! All these ticks and redbugs here in FL can be a bad thing though. Quote Link to comment

+Man In The Wild
No fair. You go to the cache and get this kind of entertainment. All we found was a bunch of rubbery things. We're just waiting to see what Eli does with those... Quote Link to comment
+joefrog
LOL -- it just goes to show you that you're NEVER as far out in the woods as you think you are. I know several people who "thought" they were in a secluded place (hell, it was a state park -- what'd they expect?) but someone walked up on 'em. Heh... Speaking of "surprising" folks, check out my July 10 log for this cache. I carry a big, BRIGHT flashlight. +phantom4099
Well a man and a woman is natural, and this is the way nature ment it for reproduction. +EraSeek
"Alternate Lifestyle" is, these days, nothing more than a gussied-up, politically-correct word for the social acceptence of what once was (and still is in my book) considered a perversion. My "Alternative Lifestyle" is to still make moral judgements for myself and not allow others to make them for me to suit their "lifestyle". I don't have to like your lifestyle, you don't have to like mine. No double standard here. End of story. Quote Link to comment

I don't have to like your lifestyle, you don't have to like mine. No double standard here. End of story. Inter-racial marriages were once considered a 'perversion' as well, and still is by a few. Fortunately many of us have moved beyond making 'judgements' about things someone cannot help about themselves. Did you sit down one day and decide to be sexually attracted to the opposite sex? No? Then why do you think gays made a choice? If it's not appropriate for gays to have sex in public parks, then it's equally inappropriate for hetero couples to. (And I rather doubt that most of them who are doing so are intending to reproduce when they are making out.) There's no difference between 'Lover's Lane' and places used for gay cruising, except in the minds of those making judgements. No one's asking you to join in. Just move on. HardCache
Yumitori, I agree with and respect your sentiment of fairness and equality. If I found a gay couple or a straight couple my reactions would be identical. I wouldn't laugh at them. I wouldn't roust them out. I'd just quietly apologize and walk quickly away. To do otherwise is somewhat juvenile IMHO. HOWEVER, this thread and (probably) this discussion board probably aren't the most effective venue for discussing gay rights. Gay rights certainly are an issue worthy of discussion but probably not here. Whatever you or I or anyone else think of them, a Geocaching board is no more an effective venue than the local ham radio repeaters. You end up verbally thrashing about with those who disagree with you and nothing really gets accomplished. If you want to combine gay rights and geocaching, maybe a more effective thing to do is to put together a Gay Geocachers group, have that group put out good caches for everyone and give people cool rewards for finding your caches. The caches shouldn't be social/political but the group certainly can be. Then everyone wins because you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. Just my opinion. quote:Originally posted by yumitori:Originally posted by EraSeek: If it's not appropriate for gays to have sex in public parks, then it's equally inappropriate for hetero couples to. HardCache
Back on topic, I have a new twist to this thread. Last night I was picking up a cache in a county park near my home. I got out of the truck and noticed a car in the parking lot. I saw some movement at window level and thought someone had left a dog in the car with the windows rolled up. So I kind of steered closer to the car as I walked through the lot and saw something I didn't expect. We'll just say that 'Something' was being done but there was only ONE person in the car. (Cue montage of rockets launching, pistons going up and down, etc.) Quote Link to comment

nickie218
The average age of most geocachers is what??? After reading this thread I would say the majority are under 18......If I happened upon a couple in any sort of act I would simply leave, I think it is the only mature thing to do, and I am sure that I would have a good chuckle whether they were two men, a man and a woman or a group of nudists!! +Logscaler and Red
I guess I should throw in my 2 cents worth here some more and explain with a touch more details. Seeing as I have no problem with the activity itself, be it between two consenting adults and be it the right or wrong setup really does not matter. And not the issue either. Location, location, location. My problem is with most of the locations these people/couples seem to want to choose. Come on folks, The last couple Red and I came across where in a State park on the Oregon Coast. About 1/2 mile from a town. Within 60 feet of the main path through the park. And very visible from Highway 101 when heading North. And we where not the first people to have walked past them already. We came in from the North and did not see them right off until we had parked and started down the trail. We hung a 90 around a hedge from the parking lot onto the trail and there they where. I was looking at the gpsr and Red was reading the cache sheet so we did not notice what their activity was right away and by time we did notice what their activity was, we where even with them. We went on past them to the cache and did our geocaching thing. As we where returning back to the parking lot, wondering if we where going to have to deal with them again, We could see South across the park and parking lot to where they had been and right into oncoming traffic heading North. The couple had given up/finished their activity and they where loading their blankets into their MOTORHOME parked in the parking lot! And from what others have said in this thread, other threads and cache reports, it is not as much the activity as the location. Highly trafficked parking lots, curbside, trail side, bridges, picnic area’s, tables in campgrounds, parking garages, middle of the park or in the middle of main street. ALL the wrong location’s for singles, couples or groups of nudist, unless your trying to get caught in the act, and that is showing off. logscaler. Oh the names I could tell you and the places they were in and what they were doing. Then you see them the next day and really know who they are and what they like to do for fun on their time off.
