  1. Im the one with the ripped off Legend. Dang theives! I uploaded to my new Legend the latest software to my GPS from the Garmin site. It has worked perfect each time I have done it. Also lets me personlize the info on the opening screen. I had just done that on the Legend that got ripped off. So somewhere some bonehead is using a GPS with my name on it intead of returning it to me. LOL!
  2. I have a Garmin Legend that is only about 3 weeks old, with all paperwork the cord, and box. I might be interested in trading.
  3. I just bought a new Mt Bike just for caching. I have the computer and next is the GPS bar mount. It works great and cuts the time way down on trail runs to find a cache. Not to mention it gets me a little more exercise that is much needed.
  4. So your the one who interupted us. LOL Just kidding. Although I have been on both sodes of that fence before. Finding and found. It is pretty funny though when it's someone else scrambling for the clothes LOL! All these ticks and redbugs here in FL can be a bad thing though.
  5. Im looking for one. How much do you want for it. Drop me a line or post here.
  6. I have 60 or so finds and 10 caches that I have placed. I try and put them in a unique place. As far as placing micro caches, I could have put 10 out tonight as I was riding around but I would rather think them out a little and place them in a spot that would be different, other than just sticking one somewhere just to do it. As far as regular caches I tend to use ammo boxes and try and stock them with usefull new stuff. I now find myself thinking of unique ways or places to hide now and am getting more particular I guess. Of course the downside to that is a few people have beat me to placing some in areas I was going to do. LoL!
  7. Sounds like a fun cache but im not sure what the rules are on placing one inside. I would bet someone owns it. Ya might want to put it outside somewhere to be safe. I love spooky caches though.
  8. Congratulations Joe! I think ya met up with the one that introduced me to Geocaching on a Al kite field a few weeks ago. LaPoloma
  9. Another good thing to do is if you are going into the woods or trails that you are not familiar with and a ways away from your car. Always mark where you left the the car on the GPS as a waypoint. Trust me, it helps if it gets dark or you get lost or turned around. Ohh yeah I learned the hard way. LoL! Bug Spray, Compass, camera, first aid, whistle, extra batteries, trade items, cell phone. Water to drink and something to eat if your gonna be out long. Have fun! Be safe.
  10. I am trying this right now. Hope it works this time
