LewisClan77
Looks like GeoWoodstock is gonna be in Indiana next year. They moved it back to Memorial day weekend. I got the go ahead to start planning my trip. Who else is gonna go? Quote Link to comment
sidekeck
Is it gonna be in a pink house? Quote Link to comment
Chokecherry
There so has to be a pink house tribute cache for it being in Indiana. Hmmm... I was planning a multistate run next year. I could possibly do it over that weekend. Where in Indiana is it going to be? Quote Link to comment

ChileHead
I just wonder how many mtn-man's will be there this time. Who cares about mtn-mans ... the real question is will the puppy monster be there? Everybody knows puppy is the brains behind the mtn-man organization. Quote Link to comment
yawppy
Thinking after IX, my first, was fun, and the date July 2...was just great for me, (wish they could keep it in July, as I work till the middle of June...after that am off for Summer break), but with that said, I am thinking of making X my second, seeming of how close it is to my Mom and GM, so a quick flight, and a 500 mile Road trip, just gotta see if I can squeeze away from work, a busy part of the year at Private schools for us chefs. So we shall see! Quote Link to comment
robertlipe
http://www.geowoodstock.com has more information about the event in Sellersburg, IN As one of the eight people that have attended every GeoWoodstock.com, I've been thankful that it's toggled between Memorial Day and Independence Day weekend depending on the host site. When it's in the north, May can still be too frozen (ish) to be awesome. When it's in the south, July can be sweltering. So it's up to the host organization to propose (and get ratified) the date. +wimseyguy
As one of probably fewer than 20 people who have attended 8/9 Geowoodstocks, and hosted one I concur with Robert. I laughed at the weather report for Erie when they said expect it to be very hot and muggy, in the mid 80's. Looking forward to next year already. And I haven't even logged any of my caches or uploaded any pics from this past weekend yet. Edited July 5, 2011 by wimseyguy Quote Link to comment
BaylorGrad
Really?! Argh! Two years in graduate school in Indiana, and then the year I'm gone GW will be there! Bummer! Quote Link to comment
briansnat
Had a blast at IX this weekend so if there is any way we can make Indiana, we will do it. Quote Link to comment
starrchilde
I'm so excited - this one is close enough for us to attend and it's definitely on the agenda! Quote Link to comment
thehillshaveeyes
Bummer, I was hoping they would have one out west...maybe next year. Quote Link to comment
DragonsWest
Sounds more palatable, weather-wise, but dang if that isn't like the worst time of the year for me to disappear from work for a week. I'd catch heck for it. May have to wait for GW XI ... Quote Link to comment
NYPaddleCacher
I might try to make it to GW X. After a whirlwind trip to China I spent most of the weekend during GW IX on a ladder stripping wallpaper. We had a house fire about four months ago so most of my weekends are devoted to house repairs and remodeling. Sellersburg is about 13 hours from here, so while driving could add a couple of states to my list it would add four days to the trip. I've found a cache in Indiana but I've never found a cache in Kentucky (or visited the state) though, so that would be a bonus. Quote Link to comment
