reddeeps Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 (edited) As suggested by Nick and Ali here is a pic we took on the way to a cache by Hellspaw in Warwickshire, now we need a caption to go with it. I may even run to a prize, but it wont be as good as the March one, but sure I can find something, how about a ready made snail cache? Will let this run until the end of March and then the winner will be choosen by the star of the shot! Edited April 25, 2011 by reddeeps Quote
BareClawz Posted April 25, 2011 Posted April 25, 2011 What you mean I'm overweight? It's a force of nature thats bending the telegraph poles. Quote

Jonovich Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 In a sudden moment of realisation the energetic cacher realised the three to six sign on the park entrance, wasn't the opening times, but the age limit for the equipment! Quote
NickandAliandEliza Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 This will actually be a demonstration sport at next years Olympics. Apparently the cacher owner who hides the most film pots at the roadside between now and then will be made to straddle two cables. People will then get to throw yellow javelins at them. (You can probably see the near miss at the top of the picture). Quote
*mouse* Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I thought film pots in ivy covered trees were bad enough, but nanos in the grass - grrr! Quote
talkytoaster Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 Another cacher pictured ready to attempt that "Cache U Nutter" 5/5 E4 class cache hidden at the top of a greasy 100ft pole.... "Ok, I'm ready, fire the catapult...gulp!" Quote
Bear and Ragged Posted April 26, 2011 Posted April 26, 2011 I thought film pots in ivy covered trees were bad enough, but nanos in the grass - grrr! ... And a sign saying "Keep Off The Grass" with the park keeper watching. Quote

little-miss-naughty Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Blimy!!!! this high wire stuff it harder than i though, they make it look so easy on the telle, though i guess having to use the telegraph poles between mine and my neighbours house has its disadvantages!. Quote
dgwebster Posted May 30, 2011 Posted May 30, 2011 Thought I'd just add this one in seeing as nobody has posted it so far and I think its funny and would like to share it: "What do you mean 'say cheese', can't you blooming well see I'm concentrating here!" Quote

reddeeps Posted June 1, 2011 Author Posted June 1, 2011 We have really enjoyed reading these and its been a very hard choice. The star of the photo is Kayleigh and we have let her and her brother Dale pick the winner. The ones they particulary liked are..... in no particular order........ Dgwebsters fear of heights Haggis hunters go ape suggestion Talky toasters catapult Nick and Alis javelin punishment Dakars4*4's age limit Kbfamily with their newbie test Bareclawz forces of nature then narrowing it down from there became very hard, and there was a final disagreement between the kids between dgwebster and nick and ali's. They loved how dgwebster had worded the caption and it made them laugh, but they loved how Nick and Ali had used everything in the picture and especially the message behind it which you wont all know but is very topical on our local forum at the moment.... however the final winner is... ... ... .. .. DGWebster - its just so true, as she really would have said that!!!! I will pm you to sort addy for your prize, and you do know I think this means you have to set Junes photo caption comp!!!!! Quote
dgwebster Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 woo-hooo. first thing i've won since I was 8 years old and won a bottle of vodka in a raffle on a coach trip to france. And that prize sucked as my parents simply refused to allow me to drink it! I will get a photo up next week for the June comp as I have just discovered a hole in my car brake pipes and currently spending time ripping the old pipes out in preparation of the new ones arriving saturday Quote
