Anthus
Hi Erik First let me say thanks for taking on such a time consuming effort. I took a look at my Decoder LE that you put on eBay. You have it listed as a copper coin. It is an antique gold coin with epoxy. Also, you used the proof of the firefighter cion, which looks more silver than antique bronze. I can create new pictures for you which include the icon in the picture also. Thanks.....Stacy Link to comment

Eric K
Just an update. Sent several coins to Evil Chicken. (Thanks again for the assistance) Watch for those coins in the next several days. I will be out of town Tuesday through Sunday. So I may not get any more coins listed until next week. I appreciate everyone being patient. Plus it's probably better to not list them all at once. That way buyers buying more than one coin don't have to try to purchase a bunch of coins all at once. I plan on sending the first donation to Ladycacher next week some time. I will post the information here or/and on the web page. With bids already paid minus paypal fees, shipping and ebay fees. $166.33 Bids that are still open but should end while I'm out of town. Currently at: $227.78 Keep the bids coming! Link to comment

Eric K
Based on charity auction regulations. Interesting to because some other people's are still up and the wording was identical..... Sigh.... Anyone that READS the item listings will know they don't SAY anything about a charitable organization. They clearly state WHERE the money will be going. Also, anyone bidding on one of the items most likely knows what is going on. If they don't my listings have a link to the website and yours clearly state they can contact you. Sounds like someone just doesn't like it when people try to do good things for people. Unfortunately since this is a public forum where kids can read I can't post my actual disgust in whoever would do such a thing. If they want to try to shut down what we are doing we will just simply take out where the money is going and put the codeword 'ladycacher' in the auction or something. I'm going to stop typing now because I'm to disgusted and don't want to end up posting something that is inappropriate. It sounds like someone out there just doesn't like Ladycacher. However, if you like a person or not you would think with the situation she is going through that they would be able to get over it. For whomever that person is I am stating this publically right now. Ladycacher never asked me to do any of this. She doesn't know me and I don't know her. She NEVER asked any of us to help her. Whoever did such a think really needs to grow up and get a life. If we are doing something that you don't agree with than just to participate. It's that simple. +nielsenc
Maybe Ebay found it on their own. To assume someone turned in the auction just excites and upsets people. Link to comment
AtlantaGal
Based on charity auction regulations. Interesting to because some other people's are still up and the wording was identical..... Why don't you copy the full text eBay sent to you in email? Cause if it was just for the word "charity" in the title, then you're right, many of us have listed these type of auctions before with no trouble. So I would like to know the specific policy that was broken and if it's a recent change to their auction terms. Seriously though, none of you have any basis for pointing fingers. Sometimes ebay's police just find something and shut your listing down. I have had it happen recently too, tho not for a charity listing. I emailed them back and asked for specific guidance on how my listing should appear and not break the guideline. They provided it and I have had no trouble since. I think it would be wise to consider ALL possibilities before the accusations start flying. Link to comment
Hula Bum
I am not one to fly off the handle and spout at the mouth when I don't have a reason to. Ebay is a local company and it's a small valley. Link to comment

Landsharkz
We have some samples of the 2006 BC Geocoin which we've been wondering what to do with. We'd like to donate them to the cause if you think they'd be worth anything. These are the ones we got from the mint before approving the final production. We also have samples of the LMGA. These are both a bit different from the final coins and aren't trackable of course. Do these hold any value or should we put them in 'File G'? We'd also like to donate a trackable 2006 BC Geocoin and an LMGA. Link to comment

Landsharkz
I would think that production samples would have high collectability due to the extremely limited nature of the coin itself - there would be no others exactly like it! Landsharkz.ca will donate 3 of the 4 production samples of the 2006 BC Geocoin plus a new unactivated trackable 2006 BC Geocoin. We have noticed that the mint actually numbered the LMGA coin, so they look like the final product. We won't be able to donate those as the numbers will duplicate coins which LMGA members have as their own. I cannot image the strains on Ladycacher's family right now; we certainly hope that these production samples will bring some financial relief and ease the stresses they must be experiencing. Our prayers are with them at this time. God Bless. Edited May 29, 2006 by Landsharkz Link to comment
