crabtrees
I HAVE DSL SERVICE AND IT IS RUNNING WELL. THE GEOCACHING SITE FOR ME HAS BEEN TERRIBLE. FINALLY, I HAD TO POST----IS MY EXPERIENCE ON MY END ONLY OR ARE OTHERS NOTICING THIS PROBLEM?? Link to comment
Mastifflover
Nope slow here tonight as well. Link to comment
jeff35080
Hmmm... so a server that happens to be slow on its peak usage day keeps you from having fun? Maybe you should just try logging your finds on Tuesday or Wednesday when the site is getting fewer 'hits' from users. Link to comment
Miragee
Wow! I guess I should be thankful I connect at 24K (very slow, dirty phone lines) because the web site is just as normal for me . . . . Link to comment

DaveA
very slow here as well. Never saw gc.com so slow, wonder if there is a problem or just higher than normal load. Link to comment
5
Ah, for the days of my 24.4k dial-up connection... Today on cable is twice as bad as those days... And yes I did enjoy today. Took my daughter on a 5+ mile hike through the woods and up a mountain. Located a cache that took me too long to find. It was an unseasonal sunny and warm day in the great Pacific Northwest. Voncachstein
every page takes several refreshes to load. Will be better soon though, so woo woo. Link to comment
Muddler
Slow here as well. DSL is really crawling tonight. Has to be something wrong somewhere. I have logged on this time on most Sunday nights and never seen it this slow. Could be the folks that are sending the quoted messege that was in all caps. Quotes and ALL CAPS really slows things to a snails pace. I understand that the ASCII characters are twice as big and they must have quotes around them also. Muddler Link to comment
BigToys
The silver lining is that everyone who was outside enjoying themselves today are online logging their finds! Link to comment
Vanish98
It was a beautiful day here in the Midwest (with more snow in tomorrow's forecast)...I guess that is why everyone was out caching and now are logging... The slowness comes and goes for me... Link to comment
Team GPSaxophone
I usually don't bother logging onto the main site on Sunday evenings. Since i'm off work Monday and Tuesday every week, I can just wait til then anyway Link to comment
Wily Javelina
I was just getting ready to post a new topic on how freakin slow this site has become, then I saw this one. I am sure glad I do not pay for this service! -WJ Link to comment
Shoknaw
I'm glad I pay for this service. How else would I be able to listen to a freeloader whine. Link to comment
Wily Javelina
I am glad you pay for it, too. It is people like you that make this site what is is. Link to comment
Anonymous'
I'm using DSL and the site was pretty slow. Link to comment
crabtrees
YOU WOULD THINK THAT IF YOU ARE A PAYING MEMBER, YOU SHOULD USE ALL CAPS AS A BADGE OF DISTINCTION FROM THE FREEBIES. Link to comment
TotemLake
So you're trying to be an elitist too? Personally, I don't like the yelling aspect of all uppercase, and I believe the others were providing a subtle hint to you that it's rude. On Topic: I didn't notice anything wrong with the access speed of gc.com or the forums. Edited February 28, 2005 by TotemLake Link to comment

mtn-man
There are two topics going in the "Geocaching.com Web Site" forum already. That is really where this discussion belongs. I am going to close out this duplicate topic, especially since the site is getting better on this Monday. Maybe it was me logging all those caches yesterday! Link to comment
